I'm dipping into the forum on my first day off since Hurricane Matthew struck early last month. Doing insurance catastrophe claim work allows a real window into how something unexpected like a natural disaster affects people's lives. In this case areas that were not expected to get much of an impact suffered more than anyone else due to unexpected flooding. I managed to finish a short piece in one to two hour spurts and a full length novel over the last several months that I have not had time to edit yet.

I hope everyone is doing okay.
