and he's probably taking it easy, enjoying his garden and being with his wife...

His daughter, Christine, no longer seems to be a friend of mine on facebook, so I can't ask about Abe, but I did send a message to his son, Duane. As of now, he has not replied.

I sent two Skype messages though I haven't spoken with him on skype. I am going to be like Joe and assume he is properly resting for a speedy recovery.

I received a message from Duane with good news about Abe. The first ten days after the operation left Abe in a state of semi-consciousness, but he has come out of that and been moved to a local hospital, where he is making a slow recovery.

Thank you Shelagh. I have know people who have been kept in a semi-conscious state after trauma to their heart. I am hoping that is what has happened to our Abe. It may take a little while for him to get strong again. I hope that time is short. That we all love him so much will help in his recovery, I think.

Just got home. The first thing was to check the Author's forum and read all the good wishes. You truly are a family that cares.

Lots of things I could say or write about, but the end result is that I'm in the recovery stage although very weak. I'll write more soon.
