There are only two sex scenes in the entire trilogy in the first novel and they are very short. They are not overly descriptive like you would read in 50 Shades of Grey. If that's not your thing, can always skip over those brief moments in the first book.
The books are not overly violent. I would say all in all the books would be rated PG - 13. There is swearing but no F word uses. Violence level I would say would be compared to The Bourne movies. There are gun fights, car chases, and hand to hand combat but no high levels of violence like you would see watching Aliens or something like that. The first book is kind of a mysterious science fiction novel leading up to reveal everything towards the end. The second and third books, are all science fiction action/thriller material, fast paced, still like peeling an onion revealing more and more detail.
As far as the possible science fiction of the future I think you would love the books. Summing them up in one sentence this is pulled from my query letter.
The infancy of human cybernetic experimentation and it tantalizing side effects, this epic novel tells the story about the imperfections of controversial technological advances.
