In a divorce case in Germany, the judge ordered that everything the couple owned would be split in half.  So the man went home and cut everything in half.  The sofa, the TV, even the car.  The photos are revealing.  Since the man technically did what he was ordered to do, the court is perplexed on how to handle the situation.  The man who cut everything in half has offered the other half on ebay to sell.  (This is no joke.  It is on today's news.)

I remember a movie "War of the Roses" about a similar thing - it was a very sad movie even though it had bits of humor.
