Glad to spend my birthday in good company! Thanks for the good wishes. When I walk on the beach I feel the same as I did at 17 - I went to Jersey Boys the other day and felt 17 again as well. Each generation loves its music of that time. I still feel we had the best - though the 40's had some great music as well. Oh, well, each generation has some great ones.

I certainly agree with you about the music. I still enjoy hearing music from the 60's and am still a fan of Elvis. As for feeling young, I think that is the secret to enjoying a good life. If we forget the calendar age, we will be happier.
If you can tell me how to ignore the aches and pains, that would be a big help. Very Happy

Thank you for the good wishes. Shelagh - where did you get the beautiful ghost orchid? For my birthday, my ghost orchid at Corkscrew Swamp bloomed with 15 flowers - more than any ghost orchid in recorded history.

So beautiful - enough for any birthday present. It started blooming this year on June 27 and continued until July 5 and 6 it had 15 blooms. It's down to 12. May be less already. They are fragile and don't last long.

The ghost orchid's child, blooming on another ancient tree nearby, has one bloom.

Actually, as beautiful as it is, it is a different ghost orchid than the one in the Everglades. The bloom is similar, but the stem and root structure is different. I think they are both lovely, especially your glass one.
