Just saw an ad for two books published in one trade paperback and each book available as ebook separately - clever packaging -

This is actually a throwback. I remember these when I was growing up. One paperback would have two books, and the front and back covers were both front covers. One cover was upside down relative to the other.

The new twist is that each is available separately as an ebook.

A new twist? Seems to me it's just another sales format (that didn't exist, obviously, in the 60's and 70's).

Ace Doubles! I see those in used bookstores all the time.

This is interesting twist on a very old idea.

What's the twist? Two books -in paperback and electronic format. I must be missing something. Wouldn't be the first time.

You're right, it was Ace Doubles. LOL, boy, there's a blast from the past.

You know what was another old format? Putting three books in one and charging for three. I belonged to various book clubs growing up, and one used to do this. I remember my dad complaining, saying it was a ripoff, and cancelling the subscription. lol

I think it's an interesting twist, you don't. Okay.

The three in one? Yep, my parents had those, too. As well as the "condensed books".
