Delivery by Drones

Drones are now being tested for delivery of packages. In Germany, Amazon is testing the use of Drones to make their deliveries. TV showed such a delivery by a drone.
I think it is just another device to eliminate jobs. The airways are already crowded, and if drones are allowed to clutter the airways, accidents are bound to happen. I can imagine drones being used in the Deep South. Most likely they would be shot down.

Drone delivery possibilities have been in the news here for a while now. According to those reports, the concept is not ready for actual use.

I'm not sure I get the connection to the deep south - is that the southern US or southern Germany?

I don 't want drones delivering packages. People work fine.

On another post I mentioned how GPS on cell phones pinpoints where we are with the phone in the building - exactly. Delivery by drones makes sense. Jobs for people are quickly disappearing and they won't come back. We better find something to do with the mind before that's replaced too.
