The plot thickens! It seems that, in addition to having many incarnations of Robin, we have multiple Marions as well.

"Only you , Ann are mentally up to this task. We await the truth," said Alice.

"Please be quick."

Robin learns that Maid Marion ran off with an imposter and that the imposter enjoyed the sweetness of those lips. He was angry at being too much of a gentleman, yet relieved to know that Marion was not a frigid or cold-bodied person. Her interlude suggests that she yearns for the warmth of a man. But what of her fidelity? Will that be an issue?

Robin prepares for their return to England. Both he and Maid Marion inform the King of current events within the Kingdom. Robin learns that Prince John is planning to be crowned King before the return of King Richard, citing his absence as proof that the King is dead. Prince John has offered a reward to anyone who will insure the King’s death. In the meanwhile, he organizes his own crowning. The swift return of King Richard is urgent.

Robin sends Little John ahead of the returning party to alert his men that King Richard is indeed alive and to do everything they can to prevent Prince John from being crowned.

King Richard rides alongside Robin as they make their way home. Maid Marion prefers to ride with Robin even though King Richard invited her to ride with him. The King sees the attraction between the two of them and decides to make Robin a Knight upon his return. He owes his life and his Kingdom to Robin and sees Robin as a good mate for Marion, provided it is her desire to have Robin as a husband.

On the Eve of the following day, they have reached the outskirts of Sherwood Forest where Robin’s men are waiting as escort.

Prince John is real angry since Marion sent him one of those Dear John letters.
Friar Tuck tried to point out that his own letter from her started with Dear Friar and Robin's Dear Robin. The King got one the other day starting Dearest Majesty.

Johns anger was just fueled by the fact that she writes to everyone.

Alice decided she was causing trouble by keeping Maid Marion so bewitching. She knicked her gold necklace and neglected her hair and nails. Maid Mairon now looked so scraggily and poor.

Alice figured no man would come near Maid Marion now.

Look what happened to Marian when she put on her wimple:

Alice was in a frenzy.

Like a bear attracted to honey, Robin suddenly has an urge to go to Noddingham.

Noddingham the one town in England full of yes men.

Grannie Annie checking in from Bush International in Houston as I layover for a couple of hours. Amazing change of atmosphere from SAT. I wonder if the name change here could be responsible. Grannie Annie aka Maiden Ann

Alice wonders why Ann is turning into Grannie Annie and also why she is in Houston, but is glad she is helping anyway.

Arrived last night in Norfolk; after an hour's drive we got to Dave's father-in-law's vacation home here on North Carolina's outer banks. Jaycie came with her parents to the airport and was very excited to see her Grannie Annie. Will be here until the 27th. Carry on with the adventure. I shall return.

Alice elects to rest and await Ann's return. It is easier if they go in the same direction.

Robin's attention was diverted wondering why Maid Marion suddenly ran off, and a tree limb knocked him off his horse. His arrows broke and his bow got stuck in the branches. Who will nurse his wounds?
Women. Thought he. Me thinks Marion is toying with me. She has pierced my heart like an arrow. If that arrow was intended to injure? It succeeded.
