| Yes pack it up and get it ready to mail to me.
Make it an unframed canvas. Skip the book--I don't want you to go bankrupt! |

| You're welcome, Alice.
And Joe, whoever wins I'll have little to celebrate. As for four years from now, I'm changing my name to Lesser Evil and will run for president as an independent. When I win, the Dems will line to my left, the Reps to my right and both will shoot at me. If I can duck fast enough, that may solve the problem. Think of it as my Plan B in case my Modest Proposal fails to gain traction. |

| Whichever man wins, I will celebrate because the democratic process will have worked its way.
Whoever wins will have the majority with him and I don't want to rain on his parade. |

Alice, I would like to think you are right in both the democratic process and the majority thing, however if the past is any indicator, we will learn the truth when the results are in and the dust has settled. Unfortunately, I don't trust the process as it exists today. I just hope my vote will make a difference. My ticket is purchased and my vote will be cast. |

| I have also lost faith in the system. It is no longer representative government but rather government by those funded with the big bucks from special interests. Unless your special interest has a strong lobbyist and big campaign expenditures, you don't exist anymore. It's pathetic.
However, I will vote. People around the world fight and die to have a system like ours. That makes its current state pathetic. It is also pathetic that about 58% of the population eligible to vote actually votes.
I think voting has also become a tool of the wealthy corporate interests such that the vote is being denied to ordinary citizens in favor of those who vote according the the big money.
People from all political persuasions cannot be trusted to tell the truth about anything anymore as each spends most their time condemning the other. It's a big club, and we have been excluded. |

| Abe and DK,
If your man wins will you still say that?
We must somehow not be sour apples
Abe, I voted for GWB and feel he won. If Obama wins I would like cooperation and respect for him--I need to give the same to Romney. |

| I will celebrate that I live in a country where women are respected and allowed to drive cars and be educated.
I will celebrate that I am not hungry.
I am thankful for the little things. |

| Alice, I personally don't think GWB won when he ran against Al Gore. Al Gore won the popular vote and lost the election due to the Electoral College system. Florida's voting was flawed. That is not an opinion, but a fact. Investigation into the matter was hampered by petitions to the Supreme Court.
No, I don't trust the current system. If my man wins, I will celebrate. If he doesn't I will not be a hypocrite and celebrate a person that I have come to despise. I despise lies. I despise a person who caters to the wealthy and ignores the plight of the poor. As for women's rights, he has clearly stated his position. Why a woman would vote for him is incomprehensible. It is not a step forward for women, but a leap backward.
We vote based on what we believe about a candidate and how he will govern. It is always a risk. What a person says and what he/she will eventually do is not always the same. We know more about the person we now have as President and what we can expect. We don't know enough about his opponent. The problem is separating truth from fabrication. Vote your conscious. |
