Proposal documents questions on promotion

Here’s an example of (typical) questions regarding promotion and direct marketing that you must address in a non fiction publisher’s proposal document. Obviously the more complete the answers the greater the chance of a proposal being accepted:

“How will you, the author, help us to promote and raise visibility of the title?
“Are there direct channels to market, if so, what are they?”
“Are you likely to be appearing at an events such as conferences or on broadcast media within the year of publication?”
“Will you be willing to support the publication of the book with the following:
i. Writing articles or appearing as a subject of an article in relation to your book?
ii. Appearing on television or radio to talk about your book?
iii. Participating in web-casts and other on-line formats to promote your book?”
Direct Marketing
“Please provide details (including estimated numbers) of any mailing lists of contacts that might be interested in your proposal that you have direct access to and that might be used for promoting your book.”

"How many water bottles and collector cards will you be printing up?" Heh -oh wait, that's for fiction. Or maybe not? Hmmm...
