| I just bought dinner! I love takeout. Hate sitting in a restaurant. The sweet potato fries and crabcakes were mine. |

| These arrived yesterday evening. I "bought" them with gift cards I got on Mother's Day. Odds and ends that I've been curious to read, but wasn't quite ready to spend my own money on. |

| Ann -it wasn't intentional, lol. Maybe if Joe does a watercolor of my groceries, I'll call it art. |

| I did the same. Painted the bedroom walls, bought extra length curtains with enough material to make the box pelmet. Bought new duvet cover and cushions (there's a matching comforter too!)

| Looks great -what a tidy room! I'd never take a photo of a room in entirety, they're all just too messy. |

| 6/3/2010 Shelagh.. Your room looks fantastic ! Did you buy the cornice or did you make it ? Last Saturday and Sunday I moved furniture around, liivingroom looks much larger, the fireplace dsoesn't take wood, it takes Gel Fuel cans and you can move it around the room. 1st photo my dinning area. Cheers..Joe |

| Very elegant rooms, Joe! I made the pelmet over the curtains in the bedroom. I designed and made the pelmet for the summer curtains in my lounge. I used the shape of the fireplace as a template for the pelmet. This is the fireplace: This is the pelmet: The painting over the fireplace is a limited edition print of Sam, a black labrador by Steven Townsend: http://www.chelmerfineart.com/itemDetail.asp?work=3738 We bought the print at Inverbeg Galleries on the banks of Loch Lomond for much less than you would have to pay today: http://www.howardpage.co.uk/SITES/InverbegGallery/index.htm |

Shelagh..
I love your livingroom, it's beautiful and I love the colors, you have great taste. Is the candlesticks and clock Wedgewood ? I have to look on the internet how to make cornices , I hate when you see drape rods...
Cheers..Joe |

| Thanks Joe! Yes, all Wedgwood. The clock was a present from my parents and we bought the barometer and candlestick holders to match. |

| Joe, your rooms look very nice. I used to be into the Queen Anne style a long time ago, with furniture very similar to yours. In fact, I still have a blockfront chest that looks like that sideboard. But my tastes turned to less foo-foo stuff, and I replaced the Queen Anne with Stickely.
The Wedgwood is also nice -in another life I used to collect such tschotskes -Wedgwood, David Winter cottages, Lladro statues, Swarovski crystal figurines, Royal Doulton mugs...I bought it when we lived in Germany and the Willi Geck shop was right behind us. Every payday meant buying another stupid dustcatcher, lol. I still have the stuff, but don't display much of it. |

| Looks like we buy the same kinds of flowers. I bought coreopsis and impatiens last month, when I had a bunch of yardwork done. I got new shoes! Check out those gold heels. |
