PostSubject: Re: TRUMP?   TRUMP? - Page 4 EmptySat Sep 05, 2015 11:17 pm

I agree with what Betty said.
I agree with most of what Domenic says.
I don't agree with Joe's assessment of Trump.  I forsee a bumper sticker that will read:  "Dump the Trump".

As someone once said:  "The most hazardous of human tendencies is to draw general conclusions from limited information."  Polls can be rigged as with selective polling.  As reflected in past elections, they don't mean all that much.  When it comes time to pull the voting lever in private is when truth is revealed.

It is natural that people want to be associated with a winner.  They want to claim that they voted for the winner.  Usually these people are followers and don't think for themselves.  To publicly state an opposing opinion is to open oneself to criticism.  That even happens on this forum.  How often have we changed a post before hitting "send" when considering how others may react to it?

As we grows older, we are less sensitive to what others may think.  We know what we know and often feel obliged to share it with others.  If what we say causes a reaction, perhaps it was needed.  There are times when we cannot provide facts or evidence of what we say and go with a gut feeling.  That gut feeling comes from deep within and is usually right.  I have a gut feeling about Trump.  If I am true to myself, I will trust that feeling.

I do believe it's going to be Trump or Dr. Carson who will get it, but hey it might be
Trump/ Carson that will be a helluva ticket ! Hillary I have read is sinking so fast she's
like the Titanic and doesn't know which way to run or talk, I'm surprised she hasn't
asked Bill to get his buns out there and plug her but then again her handlers told him
as of last year keep your trap shut, butt out..

                                                       Cheers..Joe

It is too bad one issue can be hammered home until people think it is all that matters.

If you had to use one word to describe each candidate, what would it be?
For Trump, my one word would be:  Arrogant.

First off I have to say this, I'm sick and tired of people dragging
religion into politics, it doesn't belong there , if you get hired for a job you don't
bring your beliefs into the job if you can't do it leave dam it ! And that goes for
the lady who works for the airline she couldn't serve liquor to the passengers because
of her religion, we'll get another job , is it going to be the new trend, get over yourself
and stop bringing religion to work and stop bringing it into politics you won't win if you
do, to me religion is a personal thing, keep it to yourself...

Now for the good part what I think of each candidate..

                  1. Donald Trump
He's saying what every American is talking about, their fed up
with the same old same politics, lies anything to get elected and have you noticed most of
the bums running are quiet, their scared to death !

                 2. Ben Carson

I admire this man greatly, I have been watching and listening to him
for almost two years, his background and the way he grew up is awesome and he's very educated
he speaks the truth in his own elegant way.

                 3. Jeb Bush

I don't like him, he acts as if someone pushed him into this, I don't think
his heart is in it or as I read once ' Fire In The Belly," ( You have to want it more than anything.)
He's going down the toilet like a few others in his group, their scared rabbits and they know the
American public isn't buying the bull any,more...

                  4. Hillary...

What can I say ? She can't get her lies straight anymore, she doesn't
know what to say anymore, she's a carpetbagger, she's part of the old political system and
people are fed up with the lies and the way this country is headed and oh by the way the guy
who took care of her server was paid $5,000 I don't know if it was by the week or month and
now Congress wants to talk to him and he said he'll plead the fifth amendment, something is
very fishy in Denmark anytime you plead the fifth you have something to hide ! Oh and he
worked for Hillary.....

                                                        Cheers.......Joe....... TRUMP? - Page 4 925501

I agree that Jeb Bush doesn't seem very interested in winning ... sort of "if you want to put me in the White House, I'll do the job."

I find the whole campaign a sad joke - the money could better be used elsewhere to help those in need.

Isn't it pitiful that elections are so awful that no really qualified people wish to run - and if a person is qualified, they have some baggage that hurts their candidacy.  What a mess!  And so expensive and IQ draining on top of everything else.

It amazes me how the American public over the last 50 years or more  always
put the same " Morons !," in power and they don't do a thing nor do they care about the
American public, I think that's why now their running scared because they know theirs a
revolution brewing across the country , just read two hours ago Bernie Sanders is beating
the crap out of Hillary he's ahead by 10 points, she's sinking faster than the Titanic and she
doesn't see it nor does her brain get it, my predicition is she'll bow out of the race with a
major excuse " My health," and when it comes for her in October to testify all day long
about Bengazi she'll find an excuse to get out of it another one, my health !

I do not find that Mr. Sanders is dragging a lot of negative baggage.  I am surprised at how easily people are latching on to the candidate that says something about their one pet peeve and not giving a hoot about the rest of the world.  I imagine that describes the most of peoples.  I look at what is happening to the children and people in Palestine and I hear people here say "I stand with Israel." Like it is some biblical edict.  Southern Baptist who have never even been out of their stat!  I am appalled at the ignorance and kool ade mind set of people who think that people who espouse their religion and think that they should be the last word over the supreme court in this country feel that they are right.  It is ignorance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree Betty.
It is ignorance.  We know that ignorance can be cured through education.  When education is rejected it becomes stupidity and for that there is no cure.

I know that I have hammered on the subject of Palestine, but it is a subject that I simply cannot ignore.  The plight of these people are real and it is happining now.  Their land is occupied and they are menaced on a daily basis by Israeli settlers (illegally occuping their land) and by Israeli police and military.  Many who lost the lives of family and survived the destruction or their homes were forced to flee and become Refugees - many of which wound up in Lebanon.  It is so sad to see these people trying to make a new life from the slums they are forced to live in while the world turns a blind eye to their plight.  As Betty mentioned, many use Biblical reference to support the atrocities inflicted on these people.  I cannot accept that a loving God would condone the Barbaric acts of the Israelis.  To claim to be "God's Chosen People" is something I cannot accept.  We are all Children of God according to the scriptures.  I can't accept that a parent would show preference of one child over another.
I feel sympathy and empathy for all Refugees.  Fighting for survival is something that can be understood only by those who have experienced that fight.  Try walking in the shoes of the Refugees for just a day and then form your opinion about right, wrong and justice.

PostSubject: Re: TRUMP?   TRUMP? - Page 4 EmptyTue Sep 08, 2015 8:09 am

Joe, you said,

“Religion should not be in politics.” Religion has always been in politics…it is a big part of it. Those who believe in God should not be involved in politics of the world. Religious leaders get their congregations involved in politics.

Here is a few bible facts Joe. When Jesus was in the Temple, he called the religious leaders, “Money changers.” They were in their position for money, not to serve God. It is the same today, religious leaders are in it for money…they are still money changers. Should those who believe in God be part of a religion? I could write a book on why they should not. All religions tell many truths about the bible, but lie about many major do’s and don’t of Gods laws. God says in his written word, “Get out of her (religions) my people.” Why? Because God says the Nations will destroy all religion over night…he calls them, “Babylon the Great…the Great Whore.” Religions are not from God Joe…that is why the Nations will be able to destroy them.

Here is a command from God regarding his people, and politics: “Be in the world, but not a part of it.” That is pretty clear. Those who believe in God have to follow all the laws of man, unless those laws go against Gods laws.

The women on the same sex marriage thing. She was right not being a part of that, but she was wrong going against mans law. As a believer in God, she should have quit her job, not try to change the world…her action made her a part of the world…I’m sure she meant to do the right thing, but here religious leaders did not teach her in Gods way.

Those who believe in God, and take a hand in mans politics, are going against Gods laws.
