Actually, Alice it's that good a film, no matter the cast. This clip, to me, captures the spirit of it better than the official trailer:

Joe, I still laugh just thinking about that film. It was one of her best, and Lemmon and Curtis were delightful.

I must be odd.
Like Joe, old movies have charmed me from way back. But, unlike Joe, no glitz and glamor for me. I used to go, in my college days, to independent film productions on campus. They were shown in a very small theater that seated about 50 snobby people and me. Mostly they were black and white.....I surmised that black and white was a good indication of an artisticaly presented film on a very low budget.
Since then, I have found Disney. I have found joy in stories presented as movies, in color and animation.
My favorite animated film is Rescuers Down Under. It is old, I know. I would like to come back as an animation. Yes I would.
Perhaps I could be some evil old bat like Creuella DeVille. What a lovey role to play. A Bette Davis roll for sure.
Love, Betty

Lawrence of Arabia is my all time favorite. It may have something to do with having been in the region and saw the place where they did the filming.
I too like old movies. On Saturday night I saw "Anatomy of a Murder" with James Stewart, Lee Remick and Ben Gazzara. That's where Stewart got Gazzara, an Army Lt. acquitted with the "Irresistible Impulse" plea.

Warn't a movie, but still one of the best. A friend just posted this on Facebook. Just had to share. Little Joe has always been one of my inspirations, and hey, this one's about Texas.

Which reminds me of another "Best Movie," Rough Night in Jericho." I tried to find a trailer, but this was the closest I could get. You'll get my drift.

Oh, absolutely (I think). It is the images in that film that carry the story, far more than any words could.
I had forgotten it until you posted the videos. You're right. It was a brilliant film.
