Not odd, Lee. those are all great films. I'm not familiar with Have a Little Faith, but thoroughly enjoyed the others.
Whoopie Goldberg is good in anything she does. I was very glad when she took over The View.

It's a Wonderful Life and the King's Speech. Hugh Grant is great in Have You Met the Morgans?

How could I have forgotten this one? One of the best of all time. I saved it to my DVR a day or so ago, when I noticed it ws going to be on. I'm in the middle, but I thought of this thread and paused it to post.
It's funny how things get stuck in our heads without always remembering where they are coming from, but this film is connected (in a fuzzy way - literally) to my OP about Christmas shopping, and contains a significant little bit that I have referenced here fairly often. Can you find it?

Finally finished watching The Graduate, in between getting ready for Family Dinner night. This one was easy, though, we had take-out from the Chinese place down the street. All I had to do was get the house ready.
Back to the film. It was the first time I had seen in since 1967. I got a kick out of seeing Dustin Hoffman looking so young, and the film was as well done as I remembered. I love that music.
But I was a little surprised at noticing that it wasn't nearly as shocking as it seemed back then. The world has changed in those 45 years, which is mostly a good thing, I think.

Went to "Descendants," George Clooney had a few surprises to deal with.
