repost from elsewhere, goblin doing a welcome on a writer's forum again

and with that the goblin's hopes were high, saying "...welcome to this forum then, look, please don't be put off by the fact that there are writers here, no they mean well of course, just that they're a bunch of schizophrenic daydreamers with that multi personality disorder of theirs, who then repeatedly steal from one another, oh, and from the normal people too, absolutely anything in other to write too well that which is usually too long for others to actually pass over each time...", but, other than this one rather minor detraction of course, the goblin felt that the forum was inviting enough and welcomed the new poster to it

You know, I seriously do not get how some people can just be so irrational about a person. Why does it have to be about the differences? I actually do not get it.

"...not sure where you're at with that comment..." mentioned the goblin, thinking upon it, adding "...rational people wouldn't take half the risks that young people take, they wouldn't marry, have children, make love, drink, etc., no, they would be old before their time too, where I could never be young again now, however much medicine improved to reverse this aging process, no, simply I would look young but I would still be detached within, perhaps detachment is the inner part of this aging process then, simply one see through one's desires, one lets go then..."

Quote :
I'll make this nice and simple. My first novel, written at age 16, started out as a suicide note. Gun laws were very, very lax in the jurisdiction I was living in at the time. I kept telling myself "okay, well, this is it, I'm going to wrap it up now..." and I never did. Read Dostoevsky's "Demons" if you're interested in learning what this is like. The chapter where Verkhovensky blackmails Kirillov into ending his own life is almost exactly what happened to me. That same novel will tell you a hell of a lot about how age can induce complacency when it comes to writing. Karamizonov is a parody of Turgenev, a famous realist author best known for writing "Fathers and Sons" and "Smoke." I have a bit of a vendetta against this sort of thing, so pardon me if I seem a fraction overzealous.

"...well I suspect you didn't really make it nice and simply..." replied the goblin, continuing "...no, I imagine you just left most readers cold, thinking that you couldn't write your own opinion for namedropping books once more, which I don't think will cut much ice with them, nor me neither, because people here want your actual opinion and not some well now, this is just such and such book, which is opposed to some other school of thought here, which in turn in underlying score in that famous musical on broadway back in the epoch when aunt meg's lumbago became inspirational to me in my fractionally overzelous rendering in namedropping within my posts to make things plain and simple to everyone now...", in fact, to the goblin, plain and simply was the plot instead, "that someone wanted to commit suicide when they were young and didn't do so, that is, where, even when they had motive, means, and occasion too, they didn't actually do so, why", and it was this then that the goblin hoped that xxxxxx would address in his next post, rather than another song and dance to the end of the bookworld and back, at which point the goblin was thinking of lord chesterfield's advice to his son now, the line that goes "if someone asks you the time, tell it to them then, and let them admire you pocket watch if you like, but don't go round telling them the time just to show off your pocket watch", whereupon the goblin just said "...well, I think lord chesterfield was really talking about being versed in books as the pocket watch here I believe..."

repost from elsewhere, the "what are you doing" thread

the goblin had been doing the rounds tonight, or chasing his own tail again, saying "...yes, quite crazy, but I seem to run round to slow down, where, when I have no more thoughts left within me, only then do I feel this slow depth of emptiness...", perhaps as in that haunting scene form le grand bleu where the goblin was simply stepping out there now

the big blue - final scene

repost from elsewhere, goblin doing the welcome then

"...goodie, you know where I am if you want to share with me, but I won't correct you one bit, promise, ah no..." replied the goblin who felt that sound advice was a sorry substitute to hard earned experience here, adding "...besides, suppose I was that perfect writer then, where if I correct you, you would become perfect by it too, then what, well before long I would have run out of things to read on forumland because everyone else would have by then turned into agent smiths of this perfection here, so no, the idea is just for me to offer you that sense of audience, where you slowly figure out what writing is for yourself...", perhaps the goblin was weary of all this the midas touch of perfection then

Hiya, Flea! Nice to see ya back!

"...glad to be back too, no I was getting rather fed up with normal people, oh, and writers too..." mentioned the goblin, noting that the great thing about this troll's forum, was that once one had accepted for oneself the mantle of "life's very own reject" here, one was pretty much allowed to pursue that vocation of troll unhindered by those around one, where alas, on writer's forums, even though I had accepted the status of "god's gift to a declining bookworld" as humbly as I could I believe, they still couldn't find it within themselves to acknowledge and accept the great sacrifice that I was making towards their lost cause now..."

That's why I'm a vampire. Though I have to agree, it does get tiresome about how little people actually know about vampires. But whatever. Maybe I should be a vampire myth buster.

("...not sure if goblin blood is good for you, where you would think that getting the stuff from a blood bank would be a lot less bother now, plus one would know the blood type and the blood would be clean too..." mentioned the goblin)

repost from elsewhere

"...drinking is just an acceptably slow form of suicide where one drowns oneself in drink in some need of escape here, only to be washed back a wreck afterwards to a dailylife that one just grows to hate steadily more by it..." mentioned the goblin quite wise of alcoholism in others by now, adding "...no, occasionally I'll drink a glass of white wine myself, but I've seen enough people around me knowingly drink themselves to death like that, and yet, on the other hand, it does takes guts to face the diminished returns of an old age in sobriety, yet my attitude is that this life is actually mine to discard, or it's just a prison that keeps me here...", simply the goblin was pointing out that having a good innings is most commendable but that clinging to an innings at any cost was a prison of one's own making that was best avoided

"...I think eisenhower in his parting address warned us about the onward encroachment of the industrial military complex , whereas what he should have warned us against was the birth of the industrial military congress party, where not as blunt, nor as blatant as the national socialists in 1933, the end result seems hardly dissimilar now

Your avatar is a short fat pigeon, that fancies himself as Caesar, and speaks of himself in the third person as a goblin, who refers to himself as fleamailman, starts a game in which the goblin is a pompous ass who wishes to belittle the people to whom respond to his thread in which the last poster wins a game that doesn't exist and says he's a livewriter, (which isn't even a word), nor is it live writing because once it is written it is no longer live but only the past babbling s of pseudo literate troll. Okay so I brought it.. This songs for you flea.

"...mostly correct, but then you must asks yourself why, I mean, could it be that the username fleamailman is purposely left unique making it easy to find when googled, that the writing style hides one's identity while stopping others from claiming one's works as their own, could it be too, that a uniform persona across forumland gains one a better readership, aka feeding pool now, not forgetting that the persona of a goblin is actually remembered, whereas no one will remember you because you haven't cottoned on to product marketing yet..." replied the goblin who felt this rapport to be lively enough now, something like being on stage perhaps, adding "...I'm not here agreed, but the difference between livewriting and bookwriting is that in bookwriting it's one way from author to reader, where in livewriting it two ways, as in that you are feeding me my post here, but the old goblin had appreciated the post thinking xxxxx had talent..."

If you do succeed in registering there, you might also find some very good stuff posted there by such troll literary luminaries as Louie the Laigbreaker, and oddzymandias, and some others, which, in my opinion, were much better and less self-obsessed than any of my own poor attempts. You might also enjoy starting your "the last person to post here wins" thread there.

"...thanks for the link then, went the goblin, continuing "...I might do just that then, if it's a forum setting that is, as I prefer to feed than read, meaning I'd rather be conversing with you here each time than reading someone's blog elsewhere, why, because livewriting is based on rapport, whereas, the blog setting just writes down to its readers, where here, this not being my thread makes us equal I guess..." replied the goblin knowing that xxxxx's journey to self, which basically is what posting is, is not whether one is better or worse than someone else since one is anonymous, it's simply a question of does one want to know oneself by what one posts or not, saying "...you see, if I practice at being a troll then my trolls will improve no doubt, though the years will pass and I'll have nothing to show for it but my trolls, but if take the path of anonymous livewriting, then I'll never grow old on this internet and my depth of awareness will grow in proportion to whom I feed on...", simply, the goblin's journey to self was alone with others in posts perhaps, but he didn't feel it as some big deal, no he just felt that is was the only deal going

I don't know **** from shinola what you're talking about...but you go on with your bad self.

"...yes, I imagine that was a bit of an intellectual overshot on my part there..." apologised the goblin about it, suspecting that his over elaborate elaboration of the obvious would be better done as an analogy then, saying "...well, imagine you were david attenborough surrounded by that bunch of gorillas again, where no doubt you are talking to the camera in a low voice here while mimicking their mannerisms to show viewers at home, just how dumb and docile these misunderstood creatures really are in fact...", so that was it then, merely the goblin was intent on gaining a better understanding of troll nature for the greater good of humanity here

"...well yes agreed, and that's probably what the gorillas were saying to one another while david spoke to the camera for the viewers at home then, not that david actually minded now, no his role was one of an observer of them in their natural setting, bringing them to life so to speak..." ventured the goblin, taking notes now

If I don't get an answer to my thrice-repeated what-do-we-win-if-we-win question soon, I'm soon gonna quit adding to the nice tasty hitcount on this thread.

the goblin simply defended himself without being rude, saying "...first off, I don't want you to post here if you don't want to, where I'm not answerable to you either, and certainly with my present readership you're not doing me any favors now, so I'll play it your way then, that is, if you want to play troll me, fine, because I'm really passed master at playing swot the bot where I have an extensive list of bans from forums, and where we can continue until the ban hammer falls here too, one more forum then what of it, though I promise that's not my intention here, whereas if you want to turn this thread into the most viewed thread on this forum, I'll help you to do that too, why, because as a livewriter I'm just as good at being a troll on one of their forums as I am at being a friend to kathy on the lupus site...", and with that the goblin had to go back to his editing, simply he needed to repost his stuff many times to iron out the bugs, adding "...I suppose, that it is only when one doesn't know why one posts, that one wonders what there is to win by posting, perhaps summed up to me by the line don't you want to know who you are by what you post..."

and with that the witchdoctor just explained it, saying "...look goblin, alan greenspan was wallstreet's inside man here, someone who could undermine the glass-steagall regulatory wall in acceptable stages, the wall that separates those gamlers of those investment banks from the savings chips of the commercial banks, yet once the breach was wide enough, and things were all but defacto, clinton could then be duped into dismantling the wall entirely in 1999, at which point it was show time, in that any investment fox, only had to entice the wallstreet wolves into the ruse for as much leverage possible, because it was win/win for gamlers now, that is, if the gamlers won, they made made a nice return, whereas if it failed, honest bank depositors couldn't be allowed to lose their life's savings now, meaning that the government would have to cover their loses with taxdollars very much as we have seen here, I mean has anyone actually stopped to ask who or what we are actually bailing out, no I don't think ourdearmedia is going to go near that one then, far too revealing to be actually newsworthy..."

"...I know it's important to face the slot like this, where one improves with the practice of it.." mentioned the goblin, very appreciative of what he had read this evening, knowing too, that this edit thread was just that, a chance to finalized one's posts into something while one still could, where his editing would just continue again in the morning, adding "...I guess I'm just like you then, trying to write my lot out of me, trying to do justice to these ghosts of the past in a court of one's own conscience that is, yes, endless deliberation to finally settle it for good, witness against counter witness then, trial going on to retrial, well that's our past isn't it, where the sentence was carried out long ago, but where the queen of hearts from somewhere within one is shouting to the king "ah no, sentence back then, verdict now"...", and with that the night had caught up with the goblin once more, whereupon the court would simply adjourn till it caught the goblin in his next unguarded moment, where it would restart again, and then the goblin laughed, asking "...ok, so I wanted to become a livewriter, now how does one unbecome being one..."

"...you're most welcome here, so make yourself at home now..." replied the goblin, not quite sure what to write next now, well definitely not the bit about how writing corrupts one from thinking normally, nor anything about multi personalty disorder either, till finally he just confided "...look, don't let the fact that we are writers somehow dishearten you now, actually we're very good at daydreaming, and besides, once you stick one of us down in front of a computer screen, I'm sure we make an excellent substitute for a potted plant, becoming something of an all too indispensable dinner table topic I imagine, so there you go then, not all bad is it, so just join us now, and we can become potted plants together if you like..."

ah no, the goblin never named names, nor linked other forums, saying "...no only the context gets reposted, never the individual case, just I deal in abstracts then...", and with that the goblin was thinking of the student loans now, how the individual either was too stupid for higher education and thus rejected, or was enslaved by a loan that couldn't be paid back, america would either have fewer and fewer people going to university aware of the futility of it, or educated workers who could never climb out of their debt, or, in that case that those students could get out of paying their debt, having those bonds that the loans are based on turn into junk, where sizewise the student loan debt is actually bigger than the credit card debt, "...it'll be taxpayers to the rescue again I suppose..." voiced the goblin, adding "...funny, I used to think of money as a token of value whereas now I see it more as a token of debt..."
