PostSubject: A page from my crap book...   A page from my crap book... EmptySun May 24, 2009 1:35 pm

I have a CRAP book on my travel drive. Just notes made over the years. Something to help me figure out how I want to say something. This section I share with those who may have a hard time with the, she said, he replied stuff.
I don't use much other then, Said, replied, asked etc. Feel free to use any, or all of it. It's just crap.

THINGS MY CHARACTERS CAN SAY

Warned Bill.
Smiled Joe.
She replied in a pale tone.
Put his hands on his hips and smirked.
Tugged her ear and said.
Pulled at her top lip and said.
She blushed slightly and said.
She turned the hall, and met two very serious men.
JoAnn made a grand entrance.
Soon after he had.
The door opened and she was met.
Joe looked at Jim in shock, ”What are..
He was wondering about.
Harry drew a breath before he spoke.
While Kathy looked for Joe, Harry..
So and so said.
Harry took more hold of himself and..
She pulled her ear, then changed the subject.
In a horse whisper..
Nicole assured with a nod of her head, “yes, but I still don’t understand.”
Speaking clearly, and keeping her words apart, she replied-answered-asked,
Carol let out a deep breath and (asked, replied, etc).
Harry redirected his attention from-------to----, and said.
Pushed his glasses up with his finger…
Heather peeked over ....... shoulder “I etc.
Stan picked at the hairs of his nose “I etc.
She (name etc) drew a deep breath before she spoke.
Linda replied after much thought.
Jane raised her eyebrows.
Putting much thought into his reply, he gestured with his hand.
Answered at once.
Cupped his hands over his eyes.
Put his hand to his chin.
Slowly answered
His reply was swift.
Her reply showed her disappointment (etc).
Joe looked at them “when etc.
He demanded.
“yes” snapped bill.
Baba looked at his friends, “maybe etc.
Smiled and inquiry.
“you do well” praised so and so.
“Sure” nodded Jane.
“yes” agreed bill.
Responded with anger (etc).
Asked Harry.
He said aloud.
Voice took a deep tone.
Sorry for that he excused.
“No” corrected Harry.
Agreed Harry.
Laughed the guard.
Called in a gentle voice.
Questioned Bill.
Said with a wave of his arm.
said kicking the dog etc.
Raised her brow.
He whispered.
“Slowly,” he commanded himself, “breath slowly.”
He declared.
He barked.
He shouted.
He cried.
He stammered.
“I am not” assured Jane.
Smile angrily.
He began to pick at the lint on his clock
His reply was a cold laugh
He worried about
He raised his hand to shield his eyes from the
Joe recognized him as
With a look of confusion
Seemed to have a soothing (calming) (rash) effect
He ducked under the low doorway (or what ever it is)
Unable to hide his shame (embarrassment) (hate) (love)
Jane nodded
He started toward her
Noel nodded
His startled eyes grew narrow (large) (round)
The light from------reflected in his black eyes
Jane was frowning
He threw down the---- he was holding
He started toward her
He frowned and gazed down at
His expression was grave
He was not surprised to learn
“thank god” he said with a satisfied sigh
Swooning away
I have rightly become hot with anger to the point of death
For he knew
I am speaking to you.
Sad-faced
Your very presents makes me feel dirty
If that is the case, do this
And -----answered him,
In answer---proceeded to say to-----
Gathering the herds
The fertile soils
Your scent is like the scent of flowers
Make me a tasty dish
In turn he said
Her hand reached out
Praised Joe
Nodded Eve
He cursed
Offered Ike
Corrected Henry
His voice became
Sat silent for a moment
Complimented
It left him speechless
He snickered
I’m the only one who don’t pay attention to what I say.
He said in a faint whisper.
Her eyes filled with tears.
His jaw tightened.
His hand began to shake.
With a sober look.
Searching for words.
I have known for a long time it was over, I just had to let my heart tear itself apart so it could heal.
I again cherish life. I live, I live.
H put two fingers to his lips.
This weird and wonderful man.
She was young and vibrant, and totally out of control.
Clinging desperately to the last few seconds of youth, before age distorted, and pulled it away.
Raised his head
The......turned half away
Looked for a long moment
Said viciously
Looked uneasily
Said...coldly
The old man looked cautiously
He asked casually
Both men glanced up
...cried out suddenly
Sat down on a box across from
He looked through so an so and beyond
Going to tangle with that.....myself
There was a little cheer of (from) voices
He squirmed uncomfortably
Looked helplessly at him
.....went on excitedly
He had aged with surprising rapidity
Death followed him everywhere
That prodigious creature
...look that seemed to know what there was on the other side of things
Almost made his teeth drop out
Was the most enterprising man
So as not to lose his sense of reality
With great effort
He was completely ignorant of geography
Covered with vegetable scum
Overwhelmed with memories
A person does not belong to a place until.....
Exhaling a deep sigh of resignation
Taking in the things of the room
With silver-capped teeth
No....countered, it is
Surprised how much he had changed
That his heart was condemned
When she returned home, she shut herself up to weep
Which was exasperating even for him
Fans mounted on the ceilings
She was frustrated
Struggle between
It was then that it occurred to her
Crisp
Shapeless
Nervously
For God’ sakes
He scoffed
Huh?
Said apologetically
Retorted
She whispered suffocating with curiosity
Bill murmured

I was reading through your list and found I was enjoying myself. Here are a few of mine.
Yeah, I think they’re creepy
The truth is Romeo
Don’t wander off to far
It’s too late for him Son, we need to save ourselves
I am yours to do with as you please.
I don’t know it’s already so hot I can hardly breathe.
This heat really sucks, want to go up to the hole?
Jesus’ you were spaced out, you going to answer me or not?How do you know he was lying?
You’re out here rolling around in the dirt like a couple of schoolyard bullies!
You dumb hillbilly!
I thought fear had frozen you to death.”
You killed your mother and now you’re going to pay!
Hurts doesn’t it boy?
Quick good-bye’s are always easiest on the child Mrs. Smit
I’m not supposed to leave the house.
Tricia, how do you feel now that your son has returned home?
What kind of dumb ass question. . .
Corey! What did you get for Christmas?
I told you not to....
I got to come home.
