I would like to know:
 
The status of Zada Connoway
 
The status of Alice’s illness
 
The status of Joe’s illness
 
The status of LC’s weight loss program

LOL -10 lbs down and can't seem to budge from there. Well, I would if I weren't glued to the computer all the time putting out books. Will the last 10 lbs be a forever dream? Who knows.

 Don't get achalasia. LOL

I had to google that ...if it would work long enough for me to get that last 10 lbs off and then go away, I could probably deal. lol

                     I don't see my Dr. till the 23rd...

We went with the second opinion.  The doctor was very impressive and wants to do further testing before he does anything.  Next week he will test me further.
He does not want to make matters worse.
It is at my regular hospital.  I feel better about it.

Esophagus update:

I still have it. Second surgeon is at VM with all my other docs and he wants to observe a Barium swallow test which nearly drowned me at Swedish and was inconclusive. He wants to know what he is dealing with and make me better, not worse. I will have the test this week and then he will determine how to proceed. Your prayers are much appreciated,

Please pray God's will be done.

Hope this takes care of it.  I will pray for excellent physicians and their positive outcome.

The not knowing is very hard for me.  Even when every doctor involved says what they say, it is still a mystery to me what will happen to my body.  I know the doctors try to not put you into a fear, but their reticence is more fearful to me than the out and out opinion stated for the pain it will cause the outcome...
Alice, I will pray with you.  I am not so sure about prayer working, though, as you are.  Sometimes, I believe it is a mind over the matter thing and that prayer is wishful thinking to a God that never looks down on humanity at all.  I wonder if he or she was ever there at all, sometimes.  I wonder if religions are not just a kind of voodoo and the amazing human spirit really controls what the outcome of our own life is....I believe in the intrinsic power of the human spirit....what ever that means.....Love, Betty

He is real to me.

Thanks to Abe for asking the question. I'd been surfing lightly hoping for updates but afraid to ask. Sending Alice and Joe good vibes. To LC, if I lost 10 pounds I might actually see my shoes again.   But then I'd be embarrassed, have to polish them regularly and be even crankier than usual as a result, or crack my head on a lamp post from admiring my shiny shoes as I walk. Losing weight can definitely be hazardous to your health (unless you're a barefoot hippie type). 

Had a bit of a scare on Sunday.  I was sitting with my wife on the balcony and suddenly got severe pains in my chest.  In fact, I yelled when the pain hit.  My wife said that my lips turned blue.
The pain didn’t linger.  I took some aspirin and drank some fluids.  After thinking about it, I decided it best to go see the doctor as a precaution.
This morning my wife called to make an appointment with our family doctor.  After she told the receptionist what happened, the receptionist said to come at once.  No appointment was needed.
When we arrived I was taken immediately to the examining room and they did an EKG.  The printout was taken at once to the doctor.  
The doctor said that the EKG was normal and after some discussion he said that it most likely heat related and that it was a nerve reaction.  He explained how the nerves react.

So, everything is okay.  I must admit that the worst scenario did pass through my mind.  I’m thankful for each day and for the friendship I have with all of you.  Thank you.

Yes, Joe.  Since my heart operation, I take beta blocker daily. 

Has anyone heard from JoElle Martin? Haven't seen her post here for a long time.

Many people moved to Facebook or post on both or lurk on both - but I find Facebook with too many options and frustrating.

                     Went to the Dr. today, he said " I MUST MOVE TO A LOWER ALTITIUDE !
                     THE ALTITUDE IS AFFECTING MY HEALTH !."  I still haven't made a
                     decision as of yet ? Santa Fe's Altitude is 7,500 Feet !

Joe, I have never heard of that before.  Florida is sea level. I think you need another opinion.
