| Dear Alice,
I will do the same. I think it is important, in the light of the present day Republican dominated Congress, to put some back up behind our president for the next four years. Maybe some good will be done and our government will work as it should. I saw today that Romney's own state's press has denounced him. I see that many Republicans denounce him, too. I was thinking about this today. Most people who will vote for President Obama are too busy trying to keep family in food, and working many jobs that they do not have the time or the equipment (internet access) to post a lot on facebook. I believe in the silent people who do not post on internet sites and do not have the time from jobs to engage in repartee about this election. I believe in the grass roots people who have suffered under GWB and his father. Many have lost sons or daughters to wars that were lies to the American people.
I have faith in middle America.
I get three big glossy 14 by eight mailings a day from Mr. Romney's camp. You know, I put it on the burn pile. When burning glossy paper, the gloss comes off first and then the rest of the paper disintegrates and lays as a black carbon blanket over the rest of the fire. The gloss stinks as it burns.
Love,
Betty. |

| I'm going to the supervisor of elections office Monday and do a mail in vote in the office. I'm afraid with all the voter suppression they might not approve my signature - sometimes I have a scribble and sometimes it's neat and I forgot which one I used to register!!!
I hope everyone on this forum votes. The Democrats are doing it the hard way by calling people and knocking on doors. The Republicans are having the employers threaten their employees that their jobs won't be there if they don't vote Republican. I agree with you, all the rude, crude, tricky, lying, twisting, Rush Limbaugh and the whole works has made me so disgusted with the Republican party that I think they should be taught a lesson by a landslide victory for Democrats.
They lied about Welfare to Work (notice they dropped that one); they lied about the $716 Billion is SAVINGS that carries Medicare into the year 2024; they tried to twist what the President did on the day after the horror with the Ambassador and the three brave men with him; Romney is lying about his proposed tax reductions for the wealthy; he is lying about his positions on legislating abortions as illegal and contraception at the decision of a person's employer; he is lying about the costs of the Affordable Care Act that is benefiting millions including those on Medicare -- I'm tired of the lying and the people who choose to believe the lies rather than read the truth and experience the truth.
President Obama cannot lie. His every breath is recorded for the presidential library. Every word is fact checked. The Republican party can twist his truth as FOX does, but fact checking always bring that he is telling the truth.
Maybe a Democrat victory will teach the Republican party to get back to their roots, stop legislating religious dogma and stop lying and cheating. Oh- I left out the voter suppression and the sequester for defense - just can't keep up with all the lying. How long is Romney's nose?
I'm sorry for all my friends and loved ones that are so encapsulated in their desire to have their precious republican party be their rock and protector from a changing world that they have lost sight of - losing their hold on being a patriot and a Christian and lost in their selfish Ill will. The women will suffer, those on medicare and social security will suffer - and their economy will only be good for the excessively wealthy that they wish to associate with.
Every woman and every person leaning democrat must vote. It's going to be too close with all the tricky moves of the republicans to intimidate voters. They couldn't win honestly; and it's a crime to win with their trickery. Democrats must stop them. Offer rides to your democratic friends; volunteer in your local neighborhood to knock on doors and make calls. I am a data entry person for the local neighborhood party. I've never felt such a critical need to become engaged since being called so many bad names by people I previously respected because I complained and corrected the disrespect for the president, the hate-mongering labels and epithets and the lies.
Thank you Alice for voting and bravely proclaiming the party for which you voted. All votes are public record anyway. That's how they know the demographics of who voted.
And if by some horror, President Obama and his lovely family are voted out of the White House, I hope it is hexed for the next occupants who are foaming at the mouth to get in - including the 42 year old Romney brat who wants to slug the president of the United States. They are without class; they just have money. Money is not class. Money buys face lifts and tummy tucks and fancy clothes; but class takes character - not religion but character. Out of all the men in the generations of Romneys, not one ever served to protect this country. All they ever did was try to convert people to Mormon.
Ann Romney was very clear on The View: we have a choice between voting for women to have choices over their own health decisions or the economy. She was wrong. Women have the choice to vote for their own health decisions and a growing economy with President Obama. Let Romney go find another playground. The serious business of governing this country is already in the right hands. |

| Now I will go on a rant-- Mitt Romney is in favor of war, yet never went himself and has five sons none of which have gone either. When asked about his sons service he said their service was helping him become President. Easy service, more like a disservice:) |

| Dear Alice, I consider it is good for the heart and brain to go on a rant once in a while. It clears the sinus and the ear canals. Kind of like letting off steam is for a train once it hits the down hill grade. Boy! am I waiting for the Mormon people to come around here and try to convert me! I have taken care of the Jehovas' Witness. I was so kind to them that they will not come this far into the country to convert my soul for a long, long, time. If they do, they leave their literature in the mail box. Snort! Love, Betty |

| This is why I am so upset. First, Romney was not wanted by the Republican Party. The candidates were all unsuitable. Making him into a candidate was an act of desperation. That's why the whole thing is so full of lies and tricks.
Unfortunately, the republican base wanted President Obama out so badly they settled for a poor candidate than created ugliness around President Obama based on people's fears since really, President Obama is a fine man and president in the times he inherited.
Romney really is nothing. He started his business with a Harvard education paid by daddy and with his daddy's name. His daddy was a far better man than Romney. Romney is the forever rich boy with the pretty blond, blue-eyed wifey who stayed home with money and five boys who also had their daddy's wealth - and their religion considered service the mission to convert people to Mormons. That's not service to the U.S.; that's service to Mormons.
Anyone who thinks it was his genius they wanted and not his name, watch him in the debates. He is a mean spirited, ugly person without integrity. No wonder the newspaper in Salt Lake City endorsed President Obama. The man has no substance. He "saved" the Olympics? He used his name to get the federal money he needed to get it back on track - he didn't "build it" - he used government money.
He has no character. His "charity" is for tax write-offs. Remember, no qualified candidates wanted to run against President Obama. Romney has been running for President since he was governor of Mass. He'd run against anyone. His name and money got him everything else, why not the presidency?
So he traded on his white, business image and supported the religioius right positions of interfering in women's rights and lives and perpetuating the lie that the Affordable Health Care package is bad.
His whole plan is destruction: destroy women's rights to their own health decisions; eliminate planned parenthood; eliminate equal pay for women; destroy the Affordable Care Act; destroy legislation to protect consumers; destroy education; destroy the safety net; destroy medicare. He's a regular machine of destruction!

| DK. I get the impression that you are a bit miffed. Some of us are more than miffed, but we don't say that we want to puch out the miffer. In my view, that was threat against the President of the United States and anyone else would be arrested for making a threat like that. My punch will be at the voting booth. I will be flying on the 1st and be there to cast my vote. SWAK. |

| I hope other independents reach the same conclusion even if by process of elimination. As a friend of mine said, he is concerned about Medicare and he figures the rest of the economy has a lot of people wanting it to improve so he'll keep President Obama in office to protect the Medicare and give him a chance to finish what he started rather than take a risk on an unknown future. |

| Since it is a secret ballot, I won't say who I'm voting for, but I can say who I won't vote for and that is Romney. Using the process of elimination, that may give you a clue as to my intended vote. |
