| Does every state have early voting? Wow! Voting today was exceptionally easy. Parking right up front and through the voting booth in about ten minutes. I get emotional every time I vote.
Imagine! In previous generations women did not get to vote. African Americans did not get to vote. Today, there were many women candidates on the ballot, specifically Alex Sink for governor. If names mean anything, there are a mix of ethnic backgrounds, too.
Can you believe that some people don't exercise their right to vote? Our polling places are safe and private. Our votes are very carefully recorded for accuracy. Today it took me 15 minutes counting driving time. I have that much time for my country.
My only disappointment was my lack of knowledge about the twenty or so local candidates for fire commissioner and school board and hospital commission. Next time, I'll pay closer attention to the sample ballot. You can take it right into the polling booth so you don't make a mistake.
Friday I even did my bit by stuffing envelopes to encourage voters to early vote (for the candidates of my choice of course). I will call a few too. I don't have money to contribute to candidates but I do have time. Early voting insures something won't come up on election day to prevent voting and gives a heads up for some candidates.
The candidates for governor in Florida prove the old adage that money talks. Rick Scott has spent so many millions of his own money first to get the party nomination and then for this campaign against an experienced candidate that it proves our system is severely flawed.
Me, I change parties some years when I see the handwriting on the wall and I don't like it. Unfortunately some people will vote for anything stamped with their party seal.
I don't know if the League of Women voters is entirely impartial, but I think so. I agree with most of their recommendations.
VoteVoteVoteVote - one vote does make a difference, especially locally. |

| The URL you posted has nothing to do with the voting place. It talks about people canvassing for votes. The photgraph is disengenuous like most of the slanted inuendo that Fox puts out.
I'll answer your question anyhow. Everyone at the voting site looked just like me. So, if looks tell - you would have felt at home based on your words. |

| A sense of humor is such a gift! The trouble with 1776 is they didn't let women participate in the political process; you wouldn't want to leave us out would you? |
