I love the cover and I think that this one is certainly capturing the spirit of the family concept better than the baby.

Maybe if they were in motion, walking...maybe with a dog walking with them it would add to the dynamics... kind of in the sense that "a family is striding ahead...the family is taking the things that come their way on with energy.... rather than waiting for them..."

LOL.... sorry.... early morning inspiration... what can I say....

I get the impression that the whole family is looking forward and toward the distant horizon. I imagine everyone sees it a bit differently. I like the cover.

Yeah, I can see that. I love the cover.... just had a bit of inspiration from it...lol.

It is kind of nice to see the cover evolving and changing. Same with the title of Joe's book that he was mulling over.

For a lack of better words.... I find it educational...lol

Dear Joe,

I wonder if you have Microsoft Publisher on your computer. It is one of the programs of Microsoft Office.

I used it to create the Cover for The Tales Of Wooffer's Woods. If you have pictures in Your Pictures that you would like to put in a kind of collage like I did, you just copy and paste them on a blank document and resize and move them into position. I know how frustrated you must be. If I can help, just say so.

I have Adobe Photoshop, too. I am not very good at it but I can put text on the cover there.

This is when I was playing around on the free website that I have linked. I know it is not the greatest, but I was only playing iwth it for maybe 3 minutes.
I am not sure if I have inserted this the right way.... guess I will see when I come back.

Hi Betty,

thank you for the vote of confidence I still have not figured out how to put the picture in here....but... in my defense I have managed to get 10k words into Word since my first cup of coffee some three hours ago.

I will post a few pages of the story as soon as it is done. That should be in the next couple of days... I am only shooting for a work count of between 45k - 65k... which seems breezy after just having written a 120k piece.

I am actually at a point now where I am looking forward to sharing some of the finished work with you all. I had to re-cap the meat of the story a few times over since talking with the design artists. Of course, since they wanted the job, they were telling me that the story and the characters are great.

My husband read the first two chapters and he said that he likes them, but... I know where he sleeps and I am the one preparing his food..lol.

As well as the family unit, the joined hands represent the family connections and looking across the oceans is symbolic of all the writers from across different oceans (Atlantic, Pacific). The contributors are from the US, Canada, Australia and Britain.

update on the artist that I have hired for the picture of Stacy Black, his sidekick and the cover.

I received the first layout of Stacy Black today and I am totally wooooeeeddd:) and woweeeedd!
The artist hit the nail on the head and I have to hold myself back not to already post the pic...sigh... it is hard...
