7/13/2012 I think our govt. has lost it's mind ! Health-Human Services is planning to scrap the 1996 Welfare Reform Bill Clinton created , the bill was created to get people off of welfare and they had two years to do it, now HHS wants to get rid of that provision , I think the govt. has gone too far trying to change laws without congress approving it..... Cheers...Joe...

Don't worry they won't get it done--they can't get anything done.

Laws, like religious philosophy, was deemed good for a particular time frame. As times change revision is required. Many try to read the minds of what the founding fathers meant by controversal phrases in our constitution. The founding fathers had much foresight, however I don't think they could predict the future. Amendments are necessary to fit the time in which we live. We have had brilliant Presidents and a recent one who was stupid. Those with intelligence introduced change, i.e., Rossevelt, John Kennedy, Bill Clinton and currently Obama. Doing what is good for the country and the citizens of the country is not easy and takes courage. To get laws changed and/or to implement new ideas requires congressional approval. When the President doesn't have the majority in congress to implement change, he appears ineffective and that becomes the theme of the opposition. Money is power. It has the power to influence voters to believe lies. The voters have power, but only in numbers. With money generated lies, the votes are bought. There is no easy solution to the problem, but one can do their part at the voting booth.

Then maybe Congress should get off their asses and start doing something. So far all they've done is vote against everything Obama has proposed. They've said their only interest is in getting him out of office. I thought their interests were supposed to be doing all they could for the people of the country.

| As I mentioned in another post, Republican Governor in MIchigan has the whole state's road and bridge system torn up at once - putting its unemployed to work. Sound familiar? That's a program the President has been trying to get approved for federal projects and getting nowhere with the Republicans.

Time for all of them to be voted out of power
enough is enough, does the American public
have the kahonas to get rid of them, I don't
think so, because this country is so divided they
can't even see the facts straight , we're becoming
another Greece.....
