Dear Joe,

I can't prepare anything for Christmas. If this book is to be out by then, I have to crack on. I've just completed chapter twelve and hope to finish writing in mid-late November. Then I have to proofread, design a cover and upload the book. The important thing is that I'm still enjoying it! Very Happy

people will go crazy this year, the economy is in a bad
way and 14 million people are out of work, so I think
the stores may be in for a great surprise....

I keep hearing there's a recession and all these people are out of work, but I'd never guess it from how difficult it is to find good tradespeople to work on my house. My dad has the same problem with his rental commercial property.

A year of unemployment benefits and generous government welfare makes people complacent. I bet the shopping malls will be mobbed, as they are every year, recession or no.
