| We are almost through decorating--the rest later. On the first picture be sure to notice Big Bird admiring Self in the mirror. Big Bird has been sneaking around our house since Thanksgiving.

| DK's decorations are on a high shelf I cannot reach without danger. Thus all I have is three socks on the fireplace, a snow globe, a few candles and lots of red. I do have a fake fireplace I enjoy and I had some lights low that I put in the window.
I am sure enjoying your trees, though! There's a farm not far from here that is like a carnival of lights mom and I will visit. Friday night we will go to a community that every year has a theme and every house decorates. It's really beautiful - and it's a working class, modest community where they can hardly afford it - but every year they have added more until it is a wonderland and they collect for charities if one wishes to donate. The neighborhood all sits in their yards around fire pits and calls to the people in the cars Merry Christmas etc. It's very nice. |

| They also have hay wagons for kids that want to ride in them, but I don't think they are safe mixed with the cars. |

| Christmas time for me is a time of reminiscing. The delights of childhood that include cutting the tree. making decorations, singing carols, sleigh rides. Those memories are all related to activities with snow. The songs: "White Christmas", "Jingle Bells", and a slew others that we played on a crank 45 rpm record player. Experiencing the joys of the past that brought delight as well as remembering loved ones. I think we all have images stored in the brain that are available for recall. The simple things that caused joy I cherish most. |

| Christmas is oodles of fun for me.
I love Santa Claus, especially and have him all over. My mother never cared about him. When I was about four, my cousin was sick with pneumonia and Mom talked me into giving him my beloved Santa doll. She never replaced him and I have always wondered why she didn't get him a new toy instead of making me give mine up. My brother did not part with anything.
Strange situation. |

| Alice,
My bride and I have a small three foot tree on the table for the two of us to enjoy. With three dogs having a full size tree on the floor is asking for trouble. There is just the two of us, our only family is my sister in Florida and brother in Ohio. We get together on the phone on Christmas.
I'm enjoying you pictures, thanks for sharing.
God Bless |
