CHRISTMAS TREE SCANDAL- DO CHRISTMAS TREES OFFEND YOU ?

I'm so sick and tired of these people who are so offended by the
sight of a Christmas tree, first off if they don't like it , then
dam it don't look at it ! This goes for foreigners who come to live here,
people who are atheist , Christmas has been around in this country for
over 200 something years. I'm sick and tired of people wanting us to do
things their way, hello you don't have to celebrate if you don't want to !
I'm tired of politicians pandering to these groups....! What is your opinion ?

That goes for me too ! I saw the other day where some
idiot atheist wants all Christmas Trees taken down from malls,
saying it's offensive, as far as I'm concerned he can go to hell.
We have to stop pandering to people , my biggest offender is
the ACLU, I wish they would disband them altogether, they
defend the wrong people....

Perhaps the atheist should stay away from the mall.

Since most things about Christmas came from pagan celebrations long before the birth of Christ they should not offend anyone except the Christians.

There are two sides of the story to Christmas, the
first is the birth of Jesus Christ, a beautiful religious story, the second
is the mythical story of Kris Kringle, better known as Santa Claus
brought to this country by the Dutch and the German. I believe in
both, the first because of it's religious aspect, the 2nd because
there's still a child in me....And no one can ever take that away
from me...

That bums me. I love Santa!

A Christmas tree is not something planted (born). It is what you do with it after it is cut. Blood lines are not religious. No one is born a particular religious sect. I have yet to see a Christmas tree trying to convert another tree. After all, it is simply decoration that gives a tree a Christmassy look. Hanging a religious symbol around ones neck does not make one a Christian, Jew or Muslim. It is a matter of the heart/belief. Why do symbols cause problems? I personally don't like to see religious symbols hanging around a neck. It is a turn off. If one is a Christian, does he need a sign to prove it or is it a way of living that provides the evidence? A Xmas tree can be created purely for beauty. A real tree smells good too.
I personally cut mine yesterday and decorated it last night. Decoration was a fun event with Gluhwein, cookies and Carols playing in the background. Childhood memories play a huge role. I'm still a dreamer and dream of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know.

Hope you all have a happy holiday season. I hope you also shovel lots of snow instead of crap. Don't let the foul oder of dogmas spoil the spirit of harmony and love.

Europe is not the only one right now with major
snow storms, we're expecting a big one because of
all the moisture coming from California, I just hope it's
under a foot, I've read where Colorado is going to be

Religious and national symbols are interesting personal decorations. I like seeing them. I often wondered. If Jesus had lived in the 20th century, would people be hanging miniature gold electric chairs on chains around their necks?

Would Jesus be sent to the electric chair in the twentieth century? He didn't murder anyone.

How long before Christmas is banned in the US and Britain altogether?
Other countries don't give up their traditions so easily. They don't care if we are offended they love their culture.
Their people come over here and force the likes of their festivals on us.

If you go to live in another country you should accept and embrace their culture not covertly force their culture out by forcing your own in it's place. If you love your culture so much then stay in the country of its origin.

We Brits still have not quite learned from our mistakes and have forgotten that that is exactly what we did when the not so great British empire ruled.
We have a saying over here........
"What goes around comes around."

He was executed for alleged crimes against the government. The Rosenbergs didn't murder anyone, either.

The Israelis bombed the Palestinians today.

Is that supposed to represent peace and love and good will to all men? That holy land is a most unholy place. Killing on both sides is not what that land is supposed to represent. Holy Hell.
