Not having cash is a greater problem.

The places people choose to hide their money is amusing. No one suggested using it as wallpaper. Who would steal wallpaper?

We earn money to use it, not to hide it. Extra cash can be applied to mortgage or car payments. Buying canned goods makes more sense than freezing it.

Use it or lose it.
