| Sue, please send the story as soon as you can.
Rainbow, thanks for your hard work. I viewed the video and it's way too soon to be adding information about the book. The drafts I send out are drafts for consideration and even at this stage, the contributors will be given a further opportunity to make changes/corrections. You are pushing things along and it really isn't as helpful as you are trying to be.
I won't know the section headings until all the submissions are in. I keep people updated in a way that a publisher wouldn't, but the information I put out is really for forum members. Visitors who click on the anthology threads are interested in knowing about it, so that's okay too.
Thank you for the kind words in the video about me. I know from my own video for Mr. Planemaker's Flying Machine that getting viewers to focus on the book and not on me was difficult -- and I failed. I learned from it and want the main focus of the advertising to focus on the book, not me.
I'm thrilled that you are so keen and interested in the project and I wouldn't want that to change but it would help me more if you waited until all the submissions are in and the layout for the book has been decided and all the edited poems and stories have been approved. Then we can all think about how best to promote the book.
Thanks for your efforts. It's very much appreciated.
~Shelagh

| Quite ambitious of you, Rainbow! But Shelagh is right, it should wait untill she has it more ready to go. I like the way you pan out on the cover! Maybe one of these days I will learn to do that stuff!! |

| Nothing yet, Shelagh. (and I check my junk/spam folder every time I check in. Once my sis's email went to junk a long time ago, so I always check it now, before I delete anything). There may be a time lag, so if I don't get it by tomorrow, I will holler! |

| Okay, Shelagh. I received the draft and made a couple of changes. Nothing drastic, though. Let me know if you get it back. |

| Yoo Hoo, Shelagh! I just sent you my story for the anthology: all 978 words of it. I also sent my bio that had 38 words in it. I sent it from my [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] email, so be on the lookout for it. |

| I could contribute a short story I wrote in high school if the applications are still open. It is a little strange/mysterious, but my teachers passed it around school and I got alot of possitive feedback. I would have to contact my old teacher to get ahold of it, but I might be able to get it in a week or so. Lemme know what you think. EDIT: Shucks I'm having bad luck today. I just looked at the covers and I doubt my short story would fit in. I might post them up in a thread or something though. That is what I get for getting excited and posting before I think. |

| I've written the first draft of the foreword. I welcome your comments. We arrived at the very best cover and I'm sure, with your help, everything in the book will be as good as we can get it:
When a group of members from the Published Authors Forum shared their thoughts about how best to use each other's talents, the seed of an idea was planted. That idea quickly grew into a suggestion that writers from around the world should unite in an anthology of poems and short stories. From that first idea, the combined thoughts of the members culminated in the unanimous decision to follow the theme of friendship on the ’net.
Over the following months, wonderful poems and short stories were received from all corners of the world, from the United States and Canada to Europe and New Zealand. This led to a small problem of how best to present the submitted work. A decision was made and adhered to that all work would be presented as written by the author. Stories and poems in the anthology conform to either American English or Standard English.
The short story has enjoyed something of a revival in recent years, mainly because modern day readers find short stories fit into busy schedules that do not allow much reading time. The collection presented in this volume has something for everyone, from romance and mystery to fantasy and science fiction.
The poems have been carefully chosen to reflect the stories and entice the reader to read on. Without more ado, I recommend you do just that. |

| Shelagh, what a beautiful cover. I absolutely love it. I wish I had something to submit for this this, but unless my muse shakes me up, there won't be anything. Work has taken all of my energy lately. I do wish all of you the best.

| You're right Abe! I used idea three times in three consecutive sentences. Not a good idea! If you or anyone else would like to add anything or suggest removing a phrase or rewriting a sentence, jump in. Everyone knows by now that I have not been shy at making suggestions for first, second and even third drafts. I think everyone will be impressed with the end result! |

| Quick question. Last sentence, first paragraph: 'follow the theme of friendship on the ’net.' Shouldn't that just be friendship? |

| I never can resist a little editing. Just some suggestions... When a group of online members from the Published Authors Forum shared their thoughts about how best to use each other's talents, the seed of an idea was planted. The idea quickly grew into a suggestion:writers from around the world should unite to create an anthology of poems and short stories. The combined thoughts of the members culminated in the unanimous decision to follow the universal theme of friendship. For several months, wonderful poems and short stories arrived from all corners of the world, from the United States and Canada to Europe and New Zealand. All work would be presented as written by the author, and the anthology would conform to either American English or Standard English. The short story has enjoyed something of a revival in recent years. Modern day readers find the abreviated format fits better into busy schedules. The collection presented in this volume has something for everyone--romance,mystery,fantasy,and science fiction. The poems were carefully chosen to reflect the stories. Without futher ado, I invite you to sit back and enjoy the magic! _________________ |
