Hyundai 2011 hybrid with all upgrades.

My 2002 "grabber green" Ford Focus. I would have preferred a softer shade of green, but I bought it off the lot at the Ford dealer near my house in Houston as I was leaving Houston for SA, the day after my last day on the job as I retired, and two days after signing the final papers on my house there.

I came here to SA and started building my little house here a few months later, and had just moved in, early 2003, when the picture below was taken. (Notice the house next door was not finished.) My car is parked out front. It is now nearly 9 years old but barely has 30,000 miles on it. I hope to keep it forever.

I see you are also an Audi owner. I like mine.

I'd love to have a scooter to scoot all over the place. A Vespa would be first choice, but the Honda scooter looks pretty good too.

My favorite car is a paid off one. My current car, a Lexus SUV, is 9 years old and paid off. Therefore, it's my favorite car.

Ann, what brought you to SA from Houston? Did you just want a smaller city?

I'd like to have a Segway.

My ex lives here, and the children (all grown and on their own by that time) were getting torn between spending their holidays in Houston or SA; it's a beautiful and historical place; and I wanted to retire to somewhere different.

I like your cars.

I love mine. Both are paid off. Toyota Highlander 2001 and Toyota Prius 2008. The Prius gets in excess of 50 mpg.

They don't know their gas pedals are supposed to stick and we won't tell them!
