| "...I guess I'm always my own project then..." ventured the goblin here, explaining "...I started a new type thread called "oh, how I hate my editing game" in a writer's forum's game section somewhere, and then started editing my posts back from the beginning, that is page 1 of 145 pages, at a pace of two posts a day, offering the thread as a game then, for anyone to air/edit/backup on, knowing how I need to edit what I've done but prefer to create new posts instead...", in fact, usual story, the goblin squatting in the game section playing panto to those childatheart grownups again, but at least his posts are being edited for once |

| I have so many story ideas I am working on. It helps keep me sane /insane (whatever you think appropriate). The other day I awoke fresh from sleep with yet another story idea and had to write it down before it got lost in the daily hustle. Having many projects I believe helps keep the writers block at bay. When you get stuck on one story take a break and start on another even if it is only research.
I can tell a story ad lib if required but writing needs a completely different approach. |

Thank you, lyntx. I like you, too. - Quote :

Careful, Alice. I don't take compliments well. They sometimes lead me to do really stupid things, just to prove you're wrong. I'm just proud to be in such good company. Ann |

| My very next project is for tomorrow night. An evening of jazz piano and comedy. I'm getting the material together today. Then it's back to the books. http://www.heidisjazzclub.com |

| Dear Alice, If I were Sam Spade, I would say, "Here's looking at YOU kid." My mission (should I decide to accept it) is to remove 12,000 strawberry plants from the hydroponic stacks, replace the media and plant lovely spring vegetables, think of an out of this world tactic to market them from this seclusion that I so happily live in with my many animal friends and my David. I am glad to have water again. Today, I bought nine lovely orchids for my next door neighbors who allowed us to use their well for the last two month. What an act of pure kindness! Tomorrow I hope to have them in a presentable fashion that declares my true appreciation. When I think of the true goodness of people, I wonder about all the trouble in the world. If we all be but puppets as I have heard said, it must be that the puppeteers have gotten all the strings entangled. Perhaps our Al knows the answer. Love, Betty |

| Right now my project is giving my books away. I enjoy giving away the books. I do not plan/or need to make a living writing so am having fun.
Fun is my project I figure folks give away bread, paintings, garden produce, etc. I will give away my books! |

| Alice, Doing something good for others is often more beneficial/rewarding for the giver than the receiver, especially when the giving is done without expectations. |

| I can't give away the production price of my books, my income is limited and my expenses at the moment include demands I cannot change; but the profit per book is so slim that when I sell books to members of my church, I return the profits to the church (after all, that special relationship provided the audience - it just feels right - though many people who have books at my church or other presentations do keep a percent of the profits).
I also do benefits for which I do keep a couple dollars per book, equal to the Amazon.com royalties and provide the rest to the organization. (When you sell books yourself, buying them wholesale and then selling them at a benefit or book fair makes a slightly larger profit margin instead of the usual royalty of around $2 per book).
I like Alice's philosophy about giving books instead of other personal gifts. It is a generous thought. My sister-in-law makes Christmas gifts, and I know she puts a lot of time and effort into lovely trays, photoboxes, clocks and calendar holders. She designs them on a lathe, burns the pictures and lacquers them. They are lovely works of art, just as Alice's books are works of art. |

| I will be working on the sequel to the vampire parody I coauthored with Larry Rock, Evenings on Dark Island. We had such a good time on the first one, and such a response, we have decided to continue the madness. I am revising the next in line in the southern fiction series. This will be book four in that one. And, somewhere in my brain, a thriller is brewing. New genre for me. I may write some grocery lists, too. |

| My next project is a toss up between completing my "Birthday Stars List" and doing a video for my Mars Surface Simulations to bring my web page to life on youtube, in 3D technicolor:-
http://www.astroscience.org/abdul-ahad/MSS.htm
The birthday stars is proving one heck of a mammoth task, with no less than 730 objects to choose across the year. I'm currently up to March 14th... but I expect to reach December 31st hopefully well before December 31, 2011. |
