Just read yesterday the Govt. will give seniors
$250- because they won't be getting a raise in their
Social Security checks come January 2011, as I've
said before if they can waste billions of dollars for two
stupid wars and and give themselves hefty raises they
can afford to give seniors a 7% raise ! The $250 is just
a dog bone thrown at seniors to keep them quiet, and
it won't be till after the elections !

I would rather have the raise. Then the next time, an increase would begin with a larger base. I agree. It is a bone, but I don't think anyone will refuse it.

From what I read it won't be till after the elections, so
it's iffy , it's just to get the senior vote.....
