Wow, so now we know why no one caught Madoff sooner, and why all attempts to alert the SEC to his Ponzi scheme were ignored. They were too busy with more important things.

8 hrs/day? These "workers" need to pay back their salaries.

What I don't get is how they didn't know that all their movements on a government computer are traced and tracked. And how did that one person who had SO MUCH PORN stored that he had to put overflow on CDs deal with it when the IT department fixed or updated his software?

What was going on here?

I believe addicts do not overly concern themselves with consequences.

I agree that the salaries should be paid back.

I don't agree with jail time. That's a waste of taxpayer money; however, paying back the salaries seems a reasonable consequence.

I do know that I had family that had my work email for emergencies; and when I'd see their name as a sender I opened it in spite of the "no personal email" rule. It's a small example, but it does show the power of the Internet to control one's impulses.

Who gets the porn CD's?

The Inspector General, of course, to view -over and over- for "evidence."
