What's up with this new goggle publishing deal? If I read it correctly, we have a time window to enroll in something in order to get paid. Otherwise, Google is going to electronically publish our book online, in thier entireity, and seemingly we wont get any $$$ for it. Am I reading this correctly?

Anybody have any clarification on this? Do we need to do something to protect ourselves?

Dear Richard,
I consider that any words of mine that Google wants to spread around the world is fine. My book has been published a long time and I have run out of money to promote it. Let Google do it. If I knew what words to attach to my books pages so that someone looking on Google would have my book in their options for selection, I would do that. To me, it is not about dollars. Right now, I do not get much money for my words. At least they have a better chance of being read through Google.

Love,
Betty

Every so often I've heard the same thing. I think that some people don't understand the Google Book Search thing. It's very simple really, where they do show part of your book so that people looking for a new read can form an opinion of it. They don't show the whole book unless it is out of copyright. To show the full book if still in copyright would so bring a lot of legal trouble so, Idon't think they will do that.
