| Highly sexed people are among the most successful. They attract and are attracted by handsome people of the opposite sex. They have a high level of energy and the sex drive is strong. Their private life should not be a factor in their capability to perform their duties. If a puritan were wanted for the White House, or for any leadership position, the search would be never-ending.
And why is it that men are most always blamed for sexual promiscuity? How many careers of women where enhanced by deliberate acts to seduce their boss – especially targeting married men? Blackmail?
As for the Kennedy's, Jack had an apartment in Georgetown where he kept a mistress. It was know by people in Washington but they kept their mouth's shut. That was before the press decided that exposing the private life of a public official was newsworthy. How many careers were shattered by the press? I think Gary Hart may have been one of the first.
Sex has and will continue to be a factor in every facet of life. I endorse sex. I like sexy people. They usually take care of their appearance. They are vibrant - alive. |

| After the Bay of Pigs, and after JFK took the blame for its failures, his "popularity" rating was over 80% among the American people.
What has happened to us? Is it the media? Have we put our government people on pedestals they cannot possibly stand on being human beings? What are the dynamics that occur?

| It's so easy to be judgmental. Especially if you are perfect yourself. |

| Good points , All,
I read books by less than perfect people Even my Bible was written by sinners.
Think of David--he ended up a man after God's own heart.
Ted could have become a hermit--afraid for his life. Instead he helped the underprivileged. I admire that. |

| Shelagh, That is easily overlooked--Kennedy was Irish, so am I. The cat thing is the problem. I will let it go though. |

| Only my left half - the best half - is Irish. The right half is German. My father often said, "Du bist verruckt mein kind." His mother used to say it to him and her father to her. |

Let's see my Mother's family came to New York in 1884 from Germany , My father's family came to Plattsburg, NY in 1885 , his family was English and French, so I guess since I have some English maybe that's why I've always wanted to see England and maybe move there , in the countryside of course, can't give up my gardening..I wonder would they let Dusty in ?
Cheers..Joe |

| My imperfect book, written by the imperfect, man , Ted Kennedy is in its way.
I can't wait to see what it says.
Meanwhile, I have become even more imperfect. I have now added Duodenitis with biopsy to my long list of conditions.I had never even heard of that one. |

Cheers..Joe Their real estate is pricey. We paid in excess of $240,000 for under 500 square feet and an English garden. |

| Thank's, Shelagh, for the link to the hamster eating broccoli. Funny, and so were a couple of the others. |

Is Maisie allowed broccoli? Jacki?
Just curious, as usual. |

| Inflamed duodenum--never heard of it before. Totally ridiculous!
Am on a pill. Biopsy should get to the root of it.
Funny scene--Doctor was so happy to see me, asked me if I remembered him.
"Of course I do." I said, "You saved my life."
The instant I awoke I grabbed my chart to read it. The nurse said, " I am afraid you will see something that upsets you. "
People must upset easily. I guess Biopsy was the trigger word. Biopsys look for other things, other than cancer. |

| My book is coming closer and closer. Inch by inch.
It was published by Twelve. Anyone here published by Twelve?
I hadn't even heard of Twelve before.
They seek to publish one book per month. We need to try them. They are not exactly an author's mill. |
