There was a guest on Coast to Coast this past Saturday talking about "Religion and Armageddon".

His point fit in well with the title of this thread... "What's Gone Wrong With the Religious Folks?"

He said that the three major religions of the world are all trying to
bring about Armageddon as soon as possible - and they all have their
motives and religious texts to support them.

I think at least two of them are going to be very surprised if their
wishes come true, and probably all three will wish they had just gone
fishin' instead.
