Helen,
I think we are on the same page. When I start a project I must see it through to completion. With writing, I want to get to the end and then start the fine-tuning process. But there comes a time when enough is enough. Once the editor gets a hand in it, one knows how much more needs to be done, but that also means there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Abe,

I agree that seeing a project through to completion is a must. It'll bother me knowing something's not finished. With writing, I could go over it a million times and keep changing it, so at some point you have to just stop!
