| It was all a ploy by Merri. She made you think that she feared you, but she has a sinister plan in mind. Merri convinces you and Carol that she should drive--she doesn't feel safe meeting people online in person and needs to feel in control. Off the two of you go with Merri at the wheel. She takes you to see her friend, Jennifer's grandmother who is in a coma . . . http://www.publishedauthors.org/work-in-progress-f17/grandma-nondescript-working-title-t2165.htm |

| But!? How did grandmother happen to be in a coma? Did some ill-fated quirk of events cause this grandmother to be in this situation? Such sinister things plague the mind!
What will become of Alice and Carol as they travel with Merri to grandmother's house? (I surely hope they brought enough to eat!) Eat!!?? Oh my, where is the food? Why all the knives and other utinsils and no food? Do you suppose...? Nooo... it couldn't be possible. Could it? |

| No, Carol, because the wolf who had been following all of you slipped into the house and ate the grandmother, since there was no food in the house.

| Kidnapped to the Snake State? Or, as all the Akronites from there call it, West-By-God. I've known a lot of nice people from there and the prettiest girl I have ever known was from Parsons, West Virginia. Trouble was, I was 17 and she was 23. |

Prettiest girl you've ever known is Sophie's best friend. |

| Thanks for all of your brilliant answers.
Can you imagine the consternation on Wolf Blitzer's face and the incredulous tone of his voice as he tries to explain what might have happened?
He is perplexed and shaking his head in disbelief. "How can it be?
So far all we know about these three women is that they all wrote books.
One of them had Parkinsons's the other two had successfully battled cancer.
One had red hair, one had brown hair, the other was a brunette.
They all had PublishAmerica as their publisher and Mr. Wilhelm Meiners, is leading the search and rescue operation in his famous helicopter.
Anderson Cooper is enroute to Seattle, and he will fill us all in on further developements.
The heartbroken husbands are not suspects."

| Marie, Wilhelm is the nice guy. Anyway, all he wants is his three missing authors. Be nice to him. I honestly like him. I could do without his emailing team though. |

| Anderson Cooper has not arrived in Seattle yet, he diverted to W Virginia to the dwellng place of yet another book writer who claimed to have kidnapped the three ladies to join her at a picnic.
Wlhelm Meiners was not allowed to search her property and is in fits.
Stay tuned for updates. |

| I've met Meiners. Once, I spent an entire 8 hour day with him and Vic Cretella in a conference room in Frederick. By the way the helicopter of which you speak is owned by Marsan Aviation, Inc., as owner trustee, Alice Marie Rush, President; not Meiners. Meiners does not have a license to fly but Rush does. Just some facts. Phil Dolan |

| Well, Dick, you could bring a "dish to pass" also. The men can bring food, you know. In fact, I'm expecting Phil to bring one of his southern recipes.

| Don't worry, Dick, the broccoli is the only thing I can eat. We can simply steam it and I will be fine with it. One thing-- may I pretty please bring cream pies to throw at people? I am not a real good shot with a gun, but would love to get Dick, E, Don and Lane with a chocolate pie. You may have conpany forever. I hope you brought my medicine with me.

| Good! Are we allowed to contact the News Medis? Speak to our spouses?
Last news we got-- Wolf said Tom and Dave had gone bonkers, stolen an airplane and were threatening to destroy all of the penguins on Anarctica if we were not found immediately.
He seemed very distrubed at the thought of the destruction of the penguins and noted that Obama was sending Navy seals to repel any attacks. |

| Why, why, why? You sound as bewildered as Wolf and Anderson.
Why would a book author abduct three other book authors over a picnic? |

| We will do our best, but do not have much free time. It is all very crystal clear to me why she got us here early. We are the Pre-Picnic cleaning crew.
We work day and night--cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.
I even have to clean up snake skins every day--what a drag! |
