Ann, I love the picture, and the story.

I have decided when I write about family I don't have this big grey cloud of "where will I get this published?" over my head, because it doesn't matter. It is a recorded history and that is always of value no matter how it is printed.

Wow, I just had a "Eureka" moment. I've heard the men in my dad's family talk about the "mold loft" all my life. I even walked past it daily during the two summers I worked at the yard. I always thought it was a euphemism for an open building with maybe a musty attic or ceiling space. As I was just now rereading grandad's article, it hit me: mold loft - a place where wooden planks could be "molded" into a curve to form the hull of a ship.

(And Charlie call himself stupid - Duuhh!)

I can hear my Uncle Feagin saying, "Your lightening quick mind told you that?"
