In Praise of People!

Why wait until a person dies to say a nice thing about them?

I can think of something nice about everyone here.
Some would take more thought than others, but such is life.

We speak kindly about roosters and cats--they don't comprehend what we are talking about.

I personally llike Ahad. He does not force anyone to agree with him.

I like Alice. She makes me laugh.

Where could I start? As you said Alice everyone here has something good about them. Dick, Abe, and Zada for their wisdom gained through a lifetime of experience. Ahad for his great knowledge of the cosmos. Shelagh for bring us together. And everyone for their great spirit of adventure, for you have all stepped outside the comfort of your world to share a part of yourselves through you writing.

I save my worst comments about people until after they've kicked off. Saves a lot of hassle.

It has always amazed me that one could be hated and the biggest SOB anyone ever knew until they were no longer around, then they were kind and had a good heart. Of course, no one would call them names to their face, only behind their backs. But when that person dies it is not permitted to tell the truth about them?

What you say is so true. Several years back a horrible man chopped up his best friend with an axe,

He was executed for this crime. After he was gone, people said he was the kndest man they ever met.

I felt he rather lacked in basic humanity.

There is good and bad in everyone. I would like to say that I want to see only the good in people but that's not always an easy thing to do. Sometimes one has to clear away a lot of crap before one can see the good. This forum often becomes a clearinghouse.

To list all the positive points of people here would include most everyone.

Thank you, kind sir. Rather than using the word wisdom when describing me most people say "smart", quickly followed by a three-letter word beginning with A.

Dick, you are truly a character, and I th ink most of us are awre that your humor is only a slight disguise to hide you "smart/wise" side.

Abe, that is a very nice list, and I am flattered. It would seem to be very true of each person in your list. As Betty said, we all are more. It is nice to see how others perceive us.
