A Reading/Musical Presentation Empty
PostSubject: A Reading/Musical Presentation   A Reading/Musical Presentation EmptyFri Feb 13, 2009 3:21 am

Over a year ago, my husband and I did a "duo" presentation at a used bookstore in the next town.

Yesterday the librarian from a closer town called and said this presentation was recommended by someone who had been to the previous one. So we found our materials, and my sister-in-law found the promotional poster she had made.

The presentation includes readng parts from Flow On Sweet Missouri, my book based on the life of one of my great-grandmothers and focused on the Civil War in Missouri. My husband accompanies at appropriate places with music on his harmonica. (He's a very good harmonica player and will be the major draw for this event.) Putting this together took a great deal of time, so we are glad we can do it again. Most of the music is Stephen Foster music from a book I purchased at the used bookstore.

Monday, April 13th, 6:30 pm at the Sauk City, Wisconsin library.

Sounds good Carol. I can imagine how you look forward to this event. I guess you'll be listening when Tom does his practice warm-ups.
