This is a must Christmas Gift or Birthday gift, I've had one

And it's affordable! It has pretty good reviews, too. A cook I reported on said two items were very important in the kitchen - a sharp knife and a quality cutting board.

I love mine I had it for 6 yrs and I don't let it out of my sight !
I've cut bread with it, meat, tomatos, potatoes , you can cut from the thinest
to the thickest just by moving the nob on the handle, who needs a expensive
slicing machine ! I say go for it..

This is an item I have to check out, I never had one and it's suppose to

I had a pressure cooker on the sailboat to save propane, but it was dangerous. I was done with it when I moved to land.

Joe,

I'm with DK on this one. Pressure cookers are convenient but they scare me. If the safety release valve fails, they can literally blow up spewing super-heated contents all over the place. This is not a cheap one, so perhaps it is safe. I won't use one, though at any price.
