Hey everyone Very Happy

Getting ready to publish my first book on here. Having severe detachment issues lol, cant seem to take the final step and prepare to have it formatted. Anyway, have just finished (finally) the ever important blurb. Was wondering if I could have some feedback on it.

Cheers everyone

Blurb:

"Sooner or later, the human experiment will have to be evaluated"

As the world turns on its axis, all but a precious few are aware of the cosmic conflict that has continued since time immemorial between heaven and hell, angels and demons. Angels have been tasked with guarding and administering the Human Experiment since creation began. The day of reckoning, however, is fast-approaching, and humanity’s blissful ignorance will soon be shattered as these dueling forces come to a head on the battlefield of planet Earth.

David Bassett is one of those unwitting persons, a bright young man enjoying the typical life of an urbane London professional. However, his normal life begins to veer off course when an eccentric stranger hints at this coming war – and tells him he will play a central role in it. David will learn what few humans really understand about the intricate workings of heaven and the expansive “bureaucracy” manned by the angels to keep things in working order on earth. Rapidly, he also becomes aware of the true nature of angels as well as demons – how things, often, are not as black and white as religious texts make them out to be.

High-ranking angel Ariel is made responsible for “securing” the Bassett family, and as the conflict begins to unfold, amidst an unreal, unsettling global tempest that seems never to cease, the family is forced to go on the run. As they battle demons and angels alike, they begin to fear that the burgeoning war may bring an end to human existence itself.

Worse still, the powerful Archangel Michael seems to have gone rogue, readying a full-scale angelic assault on earth and creating havoc in the delicate organizational system of heaven. As commander of all angels he now seems hell-bent on eradicating every last demon from the planet, regardless of the human cost. Michael fears the Human Experiment has failed due to the pollution of evil and seeks to salvage what he can. Soon, David’s whole family is dragged into the expanding conflict. Shocked by the deviousness of his higher-ups, Ariel puts everything on the line, committing treason and going against the might of Heaven and Hell for the sake of protecting the family and ultimately the Human Experiment.

With the Bassett family and their allies in constant peril, the conflict widens in scope as well as geographic distance, and they find themselves battling angels, demons and ancient creatures on all sides. In time, David discovers that he and his family number among an elite, secret group of humans vested with unique abilities – abilities for which they will soon be called upon again. Led by Mary, beloved Irish matriarch of the family, the Bassett’s steady themselves for the onslaught ahead and eventually return to the family estate in Dublin, readying for a battle that will test their fortitude – and the survival of the world itself.
