It is amazing how a wrong post has taken flight. I'm guessing that we're getting older and our minds are wandering. One thing leads to another and off we go. Nothing wrong with that - just an observation. As we get older, birthdays are cherished - we made it another year.
Remember the days when we were six going on seven? And then 12 going on 13? Before long we hit 21 and the world was at our feet. Then we hit 30 and tried to put on the brakes, but it didn't work. Some said that life begins at 40 and we expected great things to happen. Fifty was a bummer and we didn't say that we're going on 60, we wanted things to slow down. Then came 70 and we were happy to have made it that far. Eighty is a dream, ninety a fantasy and 100, unbelievable.
And away we go...

Thirty five nothing. My beautiful twin sister is one and so am I. Now when my wife tells me to stop acting like a one-year old I'll give her an age-appropriate raspberry.
My chubby cheeks are hurting again.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm one and I'm staying here. i like this age. I can feel my wife shaking her head and rolling her eyes and feel another raspberry coming on.
Oh, yes, I almost forgot. Thank you Alice and our other nice sandbox playmates for the nice Birthday wishes. I'm off to have some cake now and suggest Shelagh do the same--after all, it's almost breakfast time in her timezone and birthday cake is just about the bestest thing for those of us being weaned.

P.S. Shelagh, I love to see our respective flags flying side by side even better than birthday cake. Chubby cheeks still hurting, though now metaphorically smeared with yummy icing.

Here we go again. I received notifications to wish Shelagh a happy birthday. The last time I did that she said it wasn't her birthday. It is January 1, 2016. I suspect that sometime during this year Shelagh will have a birthday and I want to wish her a happy birthday whenever that occurs.

I'm so glad you were born Shelagh. You have given us this great forum for those of us that still love to chat with each other as though we are having a cup of coffee across the table.
May all your birthdays celebrate you as the special person you have shared with us. Best wishes and the best is yet to come.
