Hi! I'm Daniel, a breakthrough author whose first novel is a breath away from being published! YAY!

It's been a long time coming, and I've decided to join some forums just to be able to connect with the larger literary community. I've been writing for YEARS now, both academically and personally. I like to think of academic writing as the dry, sandy landscape through which I crawl until I can bathe in the occasional oasis of fiction & poetry. As well, I express my stream of consciousness within various journals, both analog (read: paper and pen) and digital, and hold an on-going blog upon my website, which is Daniel Mello dot net.

I look forward to meeting others who've developed a passion for prose like myself, and I can't wait to share writing tips!

Welcome. I heard a scientist on NPR today talk about her journey into scientific fiction - now at the rate of two books a year, one for youth and another for adults! Good luck with your goals.
