| Lost in ‘myspace’, that is.
A very nice person visited my website, leaving a comment. Since I always try to reciprocate, it behooved me to return the favor.
There were two sites listed for the person, and the first one did not seem to have a comment section.
The second site was a ‘myspace’ site, which had a section for comments. I entered my comment and went through the little verify these letters and numbers section. When I clicked save the comment, it gave me back my original start page. I tried again. This time, the verification code changed right before my eyes. I typed it in, hitting ‘the post the comment’, and it flipped back to the start again.
Okay, now I see that you must either log in or register. ‘Good grief, am I not registered with enough sites?’ I ask myself. But, I really want to post a comment. On to the registration process.
Now, I put in all my information, and tell it to register me. It seems I missed a piece of information, and it kicks it back to me. I make the correction, and tell it to register me. It tells me there is another blank that I missed or entered wrong. I make the correction again.
This time when I hit the enter button, it tells me that email address is already in use by another user. How can that possibly be? I am the only one who has access to my email address. Did I already sign up for a myspace account?
Now I go to the login page, enter info that might have been previously used, and glory be, I have an account!! How did this happen? And by snooping around I find that I even have two friends there. Now, looking at the friends, I remember. I signed up in Sept. of last year, in order to comment on another page.
I still didn’t get to leave a comment for the person I went there for, because not only do you have to be registered, you must also be listed as their ‘friend’! I fear I am lost in ‘myspace’ or cyberspace or some other space.
Maybe I should pack a lunch the next time! |

| Zada, you're not alone with that frustration. It has happened to me. To get around that, I usually post "anonymous" and then at the end of my message I just type my first name to let the person know whose comment is was. |

| One more reason I try to avoid visiting many sites. Sometimes just getting on the VA site to order prescriptions can be a hassle. Jackie refuses to recognise that any of this exists so she may be smarter than the rest of us. |

Maybe I should pack a lunch the next time! If you want out ... you CAN delete your MySpace accounts. I've already done that once.
One thing that does bug me is some of these places do not have an exit door. I've tried deleting my accounts on a couple of forums and couldn't find a way to get 'out'. So I sent the forum people emails asking to be freed only to be ignored.
At least there is a way to leave MySpace!!

| Well, there goes another of my beliefs. I always thought Elves could get in and out of any place. |

I just erased a very witty reply to that, Dick. I read it as "Elvis" at first... EDIT: and for that, I got another star! |

| It was just a silly reply... about Elvis being seen in truck stops, Waffle Houses and service stations all over the country. He made more appearances after his death than he did in the last few years of his life! |
