I have seven hints books published covering gardening, DIY, household, cookery and health. In recent years the sales have decreased so I am looking into converting the books to ebooks.
I would be delighted with some feedback about whether books like this are viable as ebooks. Thanks

A viable ebook is one you can promote. Several on this forum offer free ebooks to draw attention to the rest of their publications. Also, if the books did well as print books that will help their ebook popularity.

You have nothing to lose by uploading them to Kindle (KDP), Mary Rose.

I think people are looking for simple instructions. Some of the things that have caught my eye in the ebook sites are books that give patterns for quilting for .99 cents, beading patterns and instructions. Something that cannot be looked up for free on google. I think you have a good idea. Have several ebooks on different topics, not too mind boggling, have enough to give some away for free and hope that people will be willing to pay someting for others.
At least that is the way I hope it works. I am new at ebooks, too.
Love,
Betty

I put two of my backlisted computer programming books on Kindle. One of them is my best-selling e-book title so far. The Kindle has good potential for how-to books.

thank you for the encouragement. I have decided to go for it - will let you know how it's going when the books are converted to ebooks
