I have worked on getting this all together and ready to upload to Amazon. This is the cover. What do you all think? Also, how much should I charge for the ebook? Right now, at 99 cents per story and trying to put a different book up every few days for free, at last look 22 people had purchased stories. I thought I would put it on Amazon and not on the other sites to begin with. So far, Barnes and Noble has had a lot of people read the free offerings but not many buyers.
Anyone have ideas for the description? My brain is in a fog.

Thank you every one! I am as close to a blithering idiot as I have ever been, I think. I have been working on my website.... I have gotten all the cover images there. That is a big yehaw to me. Now, I know that you all know how to do this, please tell me how to link the cover pictures I have put on my website to Amazon so that if someone just clicks on the cover it will take them there forthwith.
Off to make dinner or my new writing partner may change his mind. Love, Betty

Betty, I looked at your html source code. It looks like you used one of those dumbed-down webpage composer programs. (Not a put-down; Those sites have helped a lot of people.) Can you modify the html code and upload it? If so, I can help you make the links.

Dear Al, Thank you for looking. I have no idea about modifying any html. Originally, I had no idea either. I started with freewebs and then bought the package from go-daddy to be a dot com. Ignorant, I am. Maybe I need to start over.

Dear Al, Thank you for the offer of help. I have tried all day to find instructions for the webs.com pages. I have tried high lighting the picture and then clicking insert hyperlink and it does something, but when I look at my site and click on the picture my computer tells me it cannot connect to the site and do diagnostics. I looked at the internet options to make sure the ssl and tls (?) were clicked and they were. So, I have resorted to copy and paste the address from Amazon into the page. It looks tacky, but right now, my hair is going grey on the right side of my head just from the left side's exertions. Tomorrow is a new day. Love, Betty

Dear Al, I am sure I did not explain that well. I did go to the page on amazon for The Tales and copied the address and copied and pasted that into the hyperlink creation page on webs.com. It seems to me is should be a simple thing to do.

Betty, I have always used Webs, and have had a link to my stories and it has worked without a problem. I just went to my site and revised that link, since the Redstone material is no longer available there, and the new link worked fine.
I went to the "edit my site" section, chose my "links page," deleted my old link and added a new one, using the "Add a Link" box near the top of he "edit" page. I filled in the boxes as directed, and my new link works fine: (It's at the bottom of the page)

I checked your pages and I think I see what you are trying to do. I haven't figured it out yet, and don't know if I can, but will keep trying and let you know if I can help.

OK, as far as I can tell, there isn't a way to link by clicking the image. In the meantime, what you can do is use a "Links Page" to set up a link to your author page at Kindle.
I did one for mine:
http://www.annjoiner.com/apps/links/
(It's the new one at the bottom.)
Maybe that will help for now.

Dear Ann, Thank you so much for taking time for my problem. I see how wonderfully your links page works. Tonight I am burnt out and will try again tomorrow.
Thanks You, my friend.
Shelagh, Thank you for the information. Tomorrow is a new day. I will look at it all. I feel so retarded about these computer things. I feel as Tarzan must have felt when he first tried to understand human speech..

I hear you. Get some rest.
The "Links Page" is an application, BTW. On your "Edit My Site" page, there is a button you can click to get to see what applications are available.
Good luck.

Finally, I have it figured out, I think. I did go to the application pages and chose links.
Then, I thought I would try one more thing. I went back to edit my home page where I have all the book covers. I opened another window of windows and went to my Kindle pages. There I highlited the Tales Of Wooffer's Woods, the complete book, selected copy, then went back to my editing of the home page, clicked next to the picture of The Tales and pasted. I could then delete all the typing from the Amazon site, but leaving the title of the book. I saved that, went to view it, and wallllaaahhh! Clicking on the title of the book brought me right to the Amazon page for that book.
I was excited about that.
Tomorrow I will work on it and center, add text and hopefully my goal of having the little visual of the book cover and the link to Amazon will be accomplished.
It may be the choosing of links application that Ann suggested is what accomplishes this. I do not know. Thank you all for looking in. I hope to have the site presentable by sometime tomorrow.

Please have a look at my website and tell me what you think. The books that have "Look Inside" go to Amazon and then straight to the look inside pages. I liked that.
I had my Kindle page at Amazon open in one window, and editing my website open in another. By selecting the book from my Kindle page and going to the larger version where the look inside is featured, highliging just the title and the book cover, selecting copy and then going to my website I could copy the link and the Title. Then going back to Amazon, highlighting the description and copying that I could paste it under the title and edit the font and color.
Each story required it's own paragraph.
The stories that do not have the look inside feature have to be copied directly from my Kindle Books page. Other wise, clicking on the picture when I open my website will take me to the larger version of the cover without any buying information. I have three of those to edit, yet. I stll have a lot to do, but I wanted to get some feedback from all of you about how it looks and what you suggest I could do to improve it.
Thanks a lot! Love, Betty
