I'm also thinking of doing a blog tour. Any tips?

Search the Internet for blogs who are into the genre you're writing. See if they do author interviews or allow guest posts. Visit sites like this one and request an interview or a post somewhere. Try blogtalkradio and look for shows with authors for guests. Use FB and Twiiter to promote as well as any site you're on.

When you're searching keep organized. I kept a list of who I contacted, if they responded postively or negatively and what I sent each. Then I kept a list of each date and where I'd be and also listed that on my blog.

Are you part of an email group? I'm part of a 'posse' of fellow writers who visit different sites each week to read about writing and leave comments. It get our names out there. If you're interested, let me know.

I think organisation is going to be the key. There's so much out there - so many blogs, so many forums, so many social networks! I've got posts coming out of my ears!
