- The $1.2 trillion peak on Dec. 5, 2008-- the combined outstanding
balance under the seven programs tallied by Bloomberg -- was almost three times the size of the U.S. federal budget deficit that year and more than the total earnings of all federally insured banks in the U.S. for the decade through 2010, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. This is the situation that Obama inherited from Bush. Ann |

| Ann, I have determined that there's something in the water. Only a certain percent of the population wants to know the facts and make their own assessments. The rest do not want the facts. They have swallowed the mantra promulgated by those with much to gain (and keep) that President Obama is bad for the country. Period. The truth has no place. They will not read it and when presented with it, they simply put it aside and quote the same old lies.
When I mentioned that the Murdoch empire owned the Wall Street Journal and therefore the reporting was suspect (or something on that order) the response was that Murdoch wasn't so bad - almost so what if his reporters violated the law for profits. Small item. |

| It is a mob mentality. No one wants to face the facts. |

Small item. So true. The only sign that's hopeful is that more and more of these secrets are being exposed. In time, more people will get it, if we have enough time left to make the changes that need to be made. Ann |

| A cousin of a local resident visits every year. She lives in Florida and is a staunch Rep. She has two sons, one is Rep and the other Dem. She says they argue constantly about politics. In the past, I'm told that she considered everyone in her German ancestry as communists or socialists. When I spoke with her this week, she said, "They're trying to confuse me with facts". Don't they know my mind is made up? |

| Changing one's reality is not an easy thing to do. There is so much more here in this world than any of us perceive. Things that don't fit into our concept of what is real are simply not seen - or, thaey are seen, but rejected because we haven't the means to process them.
Our perceptions first form out of the world and reality of the adults around us. Whatever the values and perceptions of our parents and teachers are, we accept without question. At certain stages in our lieves, we begin to see for ourselves, around the age of seven or eight, and even more during adolescence, we see glimpses of the real world that are outside the sope of our elders, but, even then, there are filters that limit our perceptions. Some of those filters never go away.
