| I thought there must be some people who do not where to address a letter to our president, or send an email to his office. http://www.wikihow.com/Contact-the-President-of-the-United-States I hope this helps. My David has written every president since he was 18. I imagine he is on some list somewhere. He does have opinions and expresses them. Love, Betty |

| Will Rogers went to Washington to see the President, but was told the President was busy…so here is what Will wrote in a letter to his wife. “I went to see our President, but he was busy, so I went over to spend some time with the Congress. After spending a few hours listing to their silliness, I wrote the President a letter. Here is what I said; Dear Mister President. I went by the White House to see you, but, the fellow at the door told me you were busy, So I went over to the Congress. I spent a few hours there taking in their business of the day. Do you think Mister President, you might find something for those fellows to do?” |

| Out of all the millions of pieces of correspondence, staff members select a few that actually reach the president. Just like any long shot (pitching a book as an example), if you don't try, you don't get results.
Washington, in general, also pays attention to quantities of correspondence about the same issue. Correspondence that is accompanied by a large check also receives attention. |
