I have mixed feelings about this. Made in America jobs tend to be low end. I would rather live in a global marketplace where our economy rises based on its creativity, innovation and thinking skills. However, any job increase is great!
.
In my town, there are 233 acres near my mom that were p urchased by the Indians for a Casino complex that includes hotels, shopping, etc. etc. Many successful Indian reservation casinos already provide many jobs in this impoverished state. The governor turned down the plan because it's not close enough to an Indian Reservation.
I'm not a Casino fan, but I see my town boarded up and cars rotting on the highway as their owners keep them going. Schools are in jeopardy. Roads are a mess. I'm sorry the Casino fell through. This town needs jobs badly, and Casino jobs pay well.
Therefore, it appears my opinions vary with my own self interest. Typical of most of us, huh.
