I think every agent has a different catalyst. I am very close to throwing my (sic) talent into the contest. My gut tells me flapping my arms, and flying to the moon stands a better chance of success. I know that’s why I have held back for such a long time.

It's difficult to sell novels and creative nonfiction. How-to stuff seems easy. I got an agent with one query for that. If he sells the proposal, I'll try to segue into more creative stuff later. Maybe that's the secret.

I write fiction. What I've seen over the years; Big names sell, and get a good advance. No names sell, little, or no advance, and make nothing from the book.I'd like the money, but, I just want to know if I measure up.
